I inquired about a membership with Anytime Fitness Berthoud (AFB) on 6/10/2022 & was told: They are working on having more small group classes outside of normal business hours aside from the Friday evening class at package pricing. I get two personal training sessions with my membership & additional sessions charged by the hour. As a promotion I got two free months at the end of my contract. I signed up thinking I would be paying for 10 mths for 12 months of gym access. I did not want an auto-renew. I would be emailed a copy of the contract. What has happened since: I did not receive my contract until I requested it again on 7/25/22 due to the temperature of the gym & lack of classes. The class I attended has been canceled, no classes outside of normal business hours & no schedule online. I was told I was sent the schedule. I was not & no response to that. My contract goes until August rather than June & I am required to pay for 12 months. The 2 free months aren’t at the end of my contract but extended my contract two additional months. I am signed up for auto renew. The A/C has been broken since at least June &/or according to management the thermostat is set at 75 degrees. There has been water on floor over a large area after rain covered by paper towels. I continue to be invited to a class I have communicated multiple times I cannot attended & my trainer is not available outside normal business hours. I work normal business hours. They don’t make weight scale available outside of business hours. There is one upright stationary bike. The most popular cardio equipment has no distance so no consideration for COVID. I have requested ending my contract twice & ownership has ignored my requests and now me entirely. I signed a contract with AFB under false pretenses. I consider AFB to be an unsafe environment. AFB lacks training gym services I was told would exist and/or would expect of a gym. I need my membership to be terminated &t stop being charged immediately.
