On February 13, 2023, as part of an industry-wide review of CBD businesses in our service area, Better Business Bureau contacted Mile High's Finest concerning the following advertising claims found on their website, https://milehighsfinest.shop/:  
 
 - "People from all over the world are turning to ways to improve their quality of life. Whether you are looking to ease an ailment you are dealing with on a daily bases or to help relax from stress even control mental illness." 

- "So why choose hemp? Because it works! Many studies by many reputable sources are compiling data on hemp and its cannabinoids. CBD has specifically undergone scrutinous exanimation when coming to market. Numerous clinical studies have been performed from examining its safety to its effectiveness in treating things like general pain, anxiety, and cancer treatment research. We believe the heavy lifting has been done. there is enough information available to say it really works. So, making the decision to improve quality of life through natural remedies like hemp should be easy and the why should come from the evidence that its safe and effective." 

- "On the front of what we use and ingest is using CBD for immunity. CBD benefits are numerous, but do they also extend to make our immunity stronger? Let’s find out how to strengthen the immune system using CBD oil. Benefits of CBD Oil to the Immune System. CBD facilitate cell death (apoptosis). CBD regulates cell growth. Anti-inflammatory properties. CBD is an immunosuppressant. As seen in this piece, CBD has significant properties that could help strengthen the immune system. An added advantage is what it can do for people with autoimmune diseases." 

- "Why Buy CBD Isolate? CBD isolate is mainly consumed for the following reasons: To sleep better after consuming. For mood improvement. To boost energy. If you are looking for CBD isolate for sale to treat your anxiety, know that there is no THC in it. One of the exciting CBD isolate benefits is that it is easier to consume and can be consumed in many ways through oil, tincture, or powder."

- "According to limited data, CBD and other cannabinoids are able to interact with the human endocannabinoid system. It is presumed that this system is responsible for numerous metabolic processes regulating your sleep, mood, energy, regeneration, etc" 

- "You can look further than the brief summery here https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04831294." - The clinical trial has yet to be concluded.  

- "And you can read what was found about anxiety here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4604171/" - The test results speak to the need for further research. Not a complete clinical trial. 
 
- Testimonials. Multiple testimonials include unsubstantiated health claims.  
 
BBB requested that the business review its advertising and provide substantiation based on reliable, recent, competent testing for each of the health claims made and to discontinue any advertising that is in violation of FDA and FTC mandates for this industry. 
 
Despite written requests, as of April 10, 2023, Mile High's Finest has not responded to BBB’s request for revisions and clarification in its advertising.   
 
Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.  
 
Claims relating to performance and results should be backed up by reliable evidence. 
 
Advertisers should ensure that testimonials and endorsements are not misleading and represent the current opinion of the endorser. A consumer endorser’s experience should reflect what users generally achieve unless there is a clear and conspicuous disclosure of what the expected results will be.  Advertisers should not include claims in testimonials that they themselves cannot make and support.
