I took my husqvarna topaz 30 sewing machine to ******** in March of this year and paid $199.99 as a deposit. After five months with several phone calls and visiting the store to check on my sewing machine progress. I finally called to tell them to put together the sewing machine and I was going to take it. I later found out a part was missing, I went back to ******** to retrieve it, they couldn't find it and they wouldn't give me back my $199.99. I want to share this experience to let other owners of husqvarna sewing machines should not take their broken machine to ******** because they are not a certified husqvarna repair store.

COMPLETE SCAM - BEWARE!!! I have a Breville Espresso machine that wouldn't power on. I called this company and explained the issue, which they said would not be a problem for them to fix as it is a very common machine and is something they are very familiar with fixing. On the phone I was told the repair cost would be in the range of $125-$250, but that they couldn't provide an exact quote until they identified the exact issue. When I arrived with the machine I was told the repair cost would be $250, as that was the standard fee for Breville espresso machines. When I asked about the quote provided on the phone, the clerk said he could apply a "coupon" and could drop the repair cost to $199, but that is the least he could charge - while stating they repair these machines all the time, so they now have a fixed price. I then paid the $199 fee and left them my machine.I received a call yesterday from their "tech" who informed me that the machine won't power on, but he didn't know why. He said the machine was old so Breville does not provide a schematic for them to use, and that the "power board" had a coating on it which distorted the writing on the board (this is actually called conformal coating, and is on just about every circuit board made - helps to prevent water damage). Therefore, because he did not have a schematic for the board and because Breville had placed a coating on the board, he could not identify what was wrong with the board. He explained that the $199 fee was a diagnostic fee, therefore I would not receive any money back. He then asked if I would like them to "recycle" my machine and they could just keep it.So, for $199 I was provided with the exact same information I provided them, but was given the option to just give them my machine. Quite a scam - and certainly makes you wonder how many "recycled" machines they go on to repair and then sell as used.
