I purchased carpet from Heather **** carpet in the first place was due to their promise that there were no dangerous chemicals sprayed onto the carpet! I was sold on the promise that the stain resistant was build into the carpet, their promise that the built in stain resist was a lie. The areas that were cleaned not only got dirty very quickly, there was no stain resistance any longer in the areas cleaned. I called to request they fulfill their guarantee, I was told '**** carpets' lied to them about the 'built in' stain resist, not my problem, now my 'new "premium" carpet looks awful and I have a guarantee. Then I was told it was my fault for hiring a bad carpet cleaner, I told them it was 'their' carpet cleaner (because I had it written in my contract/ warranty that the carpet cleaning be on them with whom they send. I have been burned by carpet warranties with 'trip wires' designed to void the warranty: they state to have your carpets professionally cleaned at 6 months or the entire warranty is void-(look carefully at your warranty, that is a trip wire, 'you' cannot clean them yourself a 'professional' can)! Then they blamed their carpet cleaner, saying he was trying to 'upsell' the scotch guard,.. then they told me they fired him, but no fulfillment to the fact my carpet after is was ruined?After filing my complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the carpet company told them it was 'resolved' when it was not, many emails were sent back and forth. After they promised they would replace the carpet with the stain resist (the one I was promised in the first place), with a color I was shown in the first place, and I could have the carpet ( and pad if needed) replaced in by January of 2024.Many emails were sent with the reminder of their guarantee per warranty and promise due to all the hassle to me this has caused. Now they act as though I never existed, now I have the worst looking 'new' carpet and they have over $4,000 of my money that I want back now!Customer response

This is the second formal complaint. The history started last year after 6 months when I had the carpet cleaned by their professionals. They told the BBB that they resolved the problem and promised me a new carpet and warranty with a different color of my choice with the built in protection. They called in the phone with the promise for a no hassle installation, in January in 2024 with the extended of the warranty... Then I sent an email to get everything in writing to everything that was discussed and recorded in the conversations and promises but instead of sending back the promised items and timeliness, they decided to ghost me!
