I tried to work with Colorado Solar Energy to resolve battery issues for over 6 months. The batteries that the prior owner purchased from them were only 1 year old and werent holding their charge. The warranty on the batteries is 5 years. Colorado Solar Energy kept insisting that I needed more batteries and panels. However, I pointed out to them that when I moved in, the power stayed on all night. During the 6 month period I tried working with them, they wouldnt show up when they said they would or they denied the problems without examining the batteries. I was only able to get them out twice and both times, they couldnt figure out the issue and just wanted me to purchase more panels and batteries. I finally got another solar contractor out and he performed several tests confirming that the batteries werent holding their charge. The only other way around the bad battery situation is to run my generator all night which is not a possibility. I have no power all night until the sun comes out the next day. As the weather is quite severe here up in the mountains, the lack of electricity is taxing my heating system and putting it at risk not to mention making it very difficult to function in a cold house. After following up with the company several times, I have no response on how they plan to rectify the situation.
