My name is Zoriyah *******. I am filing a complaint for a Hertz rental car location. The location of the business I worked with is ************************************************************************. My vehicle has been under maintenance with ***************** for over a month from October 18, 2021 until November 22, 2021. I was told by my ***************** advisor that the rental car was covered, I should pay nothing and my information was sent directly from ***************** to Hertz to request my rental car. I met with the Hertz location on November 5, 2021 to pickup my car rental. I was initially quoted for $600 to pay "remaining costs" out-of-pocket for the vehicle that ***************** did not cover. I clearly informed him that I had full coverage and a warranty that should cover this. The employee spoke with my ***************** advisor directly and told both of us that there were still additional cost that I would need to pay. I told him that I have full coverage insurance and asked if I could add it to my insurance. He denied that and told me I needed to select the basic coverage from the Hertz sheet for liability purposes. It was not a suggestion. I have documentation of my coverage I was charged a little over $250 that day for the initial pickup. When I returned to drop off the vehicle, I was told that I owed $550 this time before I could leave. I immediately told him that I definitely shouldn't be charged again. I had him speak to my advisor again. They reviewed my order information together. He proceeded to say that I "chose additional features for the car." As an agent, his misinformation and misrepresentation truly costed me. He dismissed all of my concerns and still charged me the $600 and wasn't interested in resolving the situation both times. I spoke to my bank, USAA. They confirmed that a $655 charge, $70 charge, $40 charge and etc was made to my account by Hertz over a few days. I would like my case reviewed to see if this is typical business with Hertz and was the information I was provided correct?
