I purchased baking classes from Sweet Addict Bakery. However, the classes were canceled without notice. No refund has been issued. The owner ****** refuses to answer any phone calls, emails, or text messages. As of today, her website is still active, allowing people to schedule more classes or purchase goods from her, even though both of her locations are shut down.

Purchased several cooking classes but now the business is no longer hosting the classes. We are signed up for the strawberry roll class and have requested a refund. We had to switch to this class because our monkey bread class was canceled due to the bakery moving locations. The business does not have an active bakery and has been evicted from its new location. We have tried contacting ****** (the owner) and heard nothing back. She posted that on her ******** page (that she has taken down today) that you can get a refund for your class. We are out $56 from this class that will never happen.

Date: 02/23/23 On January 16, 2023 I pre-paid $48 for a cookie-decorating class event scheduled on February 4, 2023. The vendor said via email "75+" people had signed up for this event. On February 2, 2023 the vendor cancelled the class and refused to offer refunds. Research into the business' ******* yelp, ******** posts, old locations, etc. revealed a pattern of similar behavior that I believe is purposely fraudulent business practices . Even after "cancelling" our class, the event was still posted by the vendor and people were still able to pay her for a class that didn't exist. That's fraud. I've seen these business sites. There's no way or room to host "75+ people." If a vendor promotes/advertises and accepts pre-payment for a scheduled event and then cancels that event (not the consumer), then the consumer should be entitled to full refund of payment regardless of refund policy. The timeliness of the cancellation should be considered. Prior to posting the Feb 4th event--on the day before--the vendor posted on ******** about selling store furniture/whatnot in preparation of moving to a new, undetermined location. The vendor knew they would not have a physical location to provide the promoted service well before cancelling the event nearly last minute on February 2, 2023. Yet, she continued to accept money under fraudulent pretenses. This business owner ****** Peak is 100% a scam artist and she needs to be prevented from preying on people and essentially stealing from them.

-Date: 2/3/23 -Money: $44 -Service: The business committed to providing a cookie decorating class.-Nature of ******************** closed and moved buildings (has not reopened) but did not notify me. I showed up to an empty building with no notice. I called multiple times and messaged them on ******** to get a refund. Per other complaints, they refuse to provide a refund. They are still closed but continue to book classes and take money fully knowing they will not be providing the class. It is a scam and fraudulent.-Problem Resolved: No, business has not reached out at all and not helped anyone with their situation. They just continue to make it worse.-Order Number: *********

I purchased two cooking classes from this company only to have these classes "canceled" or "rescheduled" last minute. Communication following the canceled classes was non-existent. I attempted to call the company and the phone number is no longer in service. I then found out from both ******** posts and ****** businesses that the company permanently shut down. I emailed others that were on the canceled email list and they too encountered the same issues. The owner supposedly has another business in **************** but has yet to respond to messages left.

On 2/9 I purchased two tickets to a cookie Class for 2/10. When we showed up for the class the building was vacant. We asked the next door business about the shop and they told us that the business had closed down and moved and they had received several complaints from other people who had paid for classes. We called the phone number and try to get a hold of the business owner several times but were ignored. 12 hours later she posted a sympathy message on ******** about shutting down her business but completely ignored all the people who were complaining. We responded to the post asking for a refund to which we were blocked and she took down her ******** but never gave a refund. She continued to have class events posted on ******** through February to collect money even though she knew her business was closed down on January 31st.

I purchased a cookie decorating class for ***** for two people on 1/28 from Sweet Addicts in ****************. The business cancelled the class on 2/2 stating repairs were being done. I contacted the business via email re: getting a refund and ************************* responded in no uncertain terms that NO REFUNDS were given, no matter what, as is listed on their website. She stated I could reschedule a class. However, when I attempt to reschedule a class, the only option is to pay again, and I have emailed several times, and messaged on instagram asking for a promo code to reschedule the class, with NO RESPONSE. I purchased a service, which has not been completed and I see no other way to receive this service. In addition, there is a thead of emails with MANY others with the same complaint. Also, on ******* it now lists the business as permanently closed. There is no phone number to call. I would like a refund of my $96. I feel they are scheduling classes when they know they won't be completed, then using the "no refund" policy as a way to keep your money with no way to reschedule without an additional payment. I have already contacted by credit card to dispute the charge, FYI, but I also wanted to bring the business practice that is happening to light on a public forum.
