Had oil changed at Meineke in ******, **. They broke the filter housing and say they didn't. Have had oil leaking for months. Took it to a different place and they said it is definately broken NOT old or just went bad. This Meineke also fixed the ** a few months back. After paying them $1000, the ** went out again a few days later and they said that it was something else and charged another $1000-$1500. This place is a joke. (this was my daughter's car. They don't have the money to pay for this BROKEN piece). They are STILL paying for the ** which should have been fixed the first time. Not charged again the 2nd time.

This past summer we had Meineke fix our air conditioning in our vehicle. They also did an oil change. They broke a piece of our console and said theyd fix it. They never did. The air conditioning still makes noise. We payed a lot of money for it and its not fixed. Now we found out they broke our oil filter housing and its leaking oil. Meineke will not fix it.

The Meineke location in ****** had my vehicle for 30 days time, in which they were unable to fix the problem though they claim that the brake system is working properly now (it clearly isn't), and I was charged almost $1200. We brought the car in because there was an obvious brake line rupture. They then kept the vehicle one month, stating the car was repaired on 3 occasions, but every time we came to test drive the vehicle, the brake system was clearly not fixed and car cannot stop properly. Brake pedal sinks slowly to the floor before coming to a full stop, is very unresponsive - seems to be unchanged since we brought it in for service and remains clearly unsafe to drive. We spoke to an owner/operator of the location who stated that they would not provide a refund or reimburse for repairs done at another mechanic or another Meineke location, despite the Pueblo location saying that they had no ability to further repair the problem. As we didn't trust that the work was done correctly, we went to another local mechanic who inspected the work performed, and the owner wrote this: "Our repair facility has inspected [the vehicle] for a concern about a soft brake pedal/brake pedal going to the floor with limited brake engagement. Our inspection revealed that the previous repair facility incorrectly bonded the newly installed brake master cylinder with RTV/gasket maker but failed to completely seal the master cylinder to the brake booster. This in turn causes an air leak between the two components and excessive pedal depression for the brakes to engage. According to the *** installation procedure of the brake master cylinder there should not be any use of RTV/gasket maker to seal these components, a replacement brake master cylinder should come with a new seal. It is recommended that both a new brake booster and a new master cylinder assembly be replaced to correctly repair this braking system issue."

I contacted the ********* street Meineke about strut maintenance (shown in photograph) and turned my vehicle over to their location on July 12th. They "inspected" the vehicle and stated that the problem was NOT struts, but tie rods and ball joints. I authorized the repair and paid $1,633.96 (shown in photo). Immediately after departing their location, I heard the same clunking sound from my suspension and informed them that they did not repair the issue, and also shared that that I do not believe they test drove the vehicle since the sound was noted as soon as I left their parking lot. I was asked to return my vehicle on Friday the 14th of July. They called and stated that my strut was indeed damaged and needed to be replaced and would cost an additional $1,238.15 (shown in photograph) When I shared my disappointment about paying additional money for the original issues I asked them to repair, I was told by their service manager (****) that a "better mechanic" found the problem and there was nothing that could be done. As a remedy, they can remove the tie rod/ball joint or whatever parts they added and provide the original strut repair that I'd requested, or refund my payment because deceptive practices were used to authorize payment for a service that was not needed.

As indicated on the original invoice the initial component replacement was based on play (failure) of those components.  As with many automotive repairs, to accurately diagnose any suspension noise, any component that has physical play to, and therefore has mechanically failed, must be replaced as the 1st step in the diagnostic process.

On 4/12/23 took my car to the Pueblo location for a new valve gasket cover. It was not making any noise and no check engine lights on. The put on a new valve gasket cover and said my car was making a little noise. My car sounded like a fighter jet trying to land on a carrier. They said that something didn't align correctly and just needed to drive it and it would quite making the noise if not call back. Called back on 4/14 and told them car still making noise took it in on that Monday they said that the part had cracked, but still okay to drive. Went back for the replacement on 4/19/23 and they said that the noise might be caused by my timing chain, but the were not sure. Called the corporate office and got a call from a ****** claimed to be a owner (found out district manager.) Wanted to tow it to fountain for them to look at would need for 3 days minimum. Told him couldn't be without a car for that long as this is my only one. He told me they would cover the cost of the rental car. I told him didn't have a credit card to rent one with. We agreed that he could have the car towed to Fountain location on that Tuesday and I would drive it very little as I had doctors appointments I am unable to reschedule as they are for disability. Almost a week later he only said it was the timing chain and it had been bad when I took him in and went on blaming me. I told him that my car wasn't making any noise and it was all on their bad repairs for any damages that were caused. We finally agreed for them to make the repairs and I would pay $2500 out the door pricing including taxes, they charged me a total of$2515.78. It took them a full six weeks to fix my car and then they wanted me to eat the full cost of the car rental that I finally had found so I would have transportation. I couldn't have been without a car for 6 weeks. My car was covered on the inside and outside in oil and had scratches that not there before. I do have before and after pictures and videos of the car.

i took my **** jeep grand cherokee to be repaired the car was missfiring and the codes were saying it needed a new crankshaft sensor. they looked at my car and said the sensor was ok but it needed an alternator, they charged me $560 for this. i drove it for about 1 mile and the car broke down. i got the car toed back to meineke and they looked at it and said they had moved a wire while changing the alternator and this wire must have shorted out as when the put it back the car started. they repaired the wires but the car stalled they said they will have to reset the computer, this didnt work then they said they will have to reprogram the computer, this didnt work, now they say they cant fix my car. they say it might need a computer but they are unwilling to put one in. my car has been a good reliable car until they broke it. they have had my car for 5 days and it is practically undrivable now. i want my car fully repaired so it can be driven
