We paid in full to have a basement finished by this business the basement is almost finished. The contractor gave us a finish date both via email and text of being finished on December 2nd and 3rd. The he got upset because we complained about not completely doing what he was contracted and paid to do. He texted today that he canceled all forward movement on the basement because of a missing and mismeasured cabinet. A cabinet that isnt even necessary to pass county inspections. He is attempting to play a tough guy. That fact is he was and is paid in full to finish the job. All sub contractors have been paid and the necessary work requirements to complete the final inspection are done. He admitted as much in a email that I have full documentation of. We are formally filing this complaint to get the job we paid for finished and finished in a timely manor. Not waiting him to come down from his temper tantrum!Business response

The dispute came when ***** (Sara's *** who is not on the contract) complained that we couldn't finish the undercabinet lighting, because there was missing cabinets. I replied (See attachment) that we will cancel the trimout until the missing cabinet came in & we would schedule electrical trim at that time. With all the supply chain issues we have had this happen many times & all of our other customers have been reasonable. **** asked me (See attachment) if I would do it sooner because she had to get her kids situated. I told her that we would do the trimouts sooner for her because she has been cooperative and pleasant during this process, and we have no issues with her,. My only condition is that ***** cant be at the house, because he has been verbally abusive and intimidating to my sub-contractors and myself. I witnessed this first hand when I did my presentation. ***** was yelling at his grown daughter like she was a child in front of me. I should have listened to my gut and refused the job, but here we are. I have been a Accredited business for many years with the BBB in good standing and we always finish our jobs no matter what.
The trimouts for electrical are scheduled for Dec 9th and Plumbing is scheduled for Dec 10. I emailed this to ***** (see attachment) with instructions that if ***** (her father) is present my crews have been instructed to leave. The ball is in ****** court, we hope he can control himself long enough to complete this project.
