            I am a Senior citizen. I hired Inspired Designs Construction to do an upgrade on a house I purchased at ***************************** in ************* on Feb 25,2022. I paid over $67,000 as per the contract and as invoiced. They have not completed over $20,000 of the work and since a failed inspection on June 2,2022 they have ghosted me. ***************************** stated in the contract that no building permit was required and when Western Fireplace notified him a building permit was required ******************* brought in a contractor who filed a permit without contracting with me and has also disappeared from the project. I have given notice to terminate per contract requirements and have been unable to contact ***************************** per written texts or call to his business. I have previously had meetings and a telephone conversation which included my realtor who referred *************************** to express my dissatisfaction with the progress and I today also left a voicemail.

            We hired ***************************, Inspired Designs Construction LLC at the time, to build a small Garage/Studio on ********** ****************. ***** was very nice to work with and after some long delays the project started. We made monthly payments to *************************** so he could pay the contractors. The construction did move along fine. Then the communication with *************************** started to get very poor and the construction stopped. . He didn't respond to emails/texts/phone calls anymore. We cancelled the contract with him and asked him for a punch list to figure out what contractors got paid and how much money was left of the payments we made to ***************************. He emailed us the punch list. There was a bit more than $13tsd left of the payments we made to ***************************. We asked him to return the money within 4 weeks or we would take legal action. He never got back to ** so we took legal action with the El Paso County Court, Fourth Judicial District.
