3 years ago American Electric came to replace my panel due to it being a fire hazard. Recently I had another electrician come and tell me that American Electric did NOT do what the needed to do as electricians, apparently it was in my best interest to put a designated circuit to my microwave to avoid tripping the breaker, the did not install surge protection as well as a 125 amp in which they placed 100amp. I had 3 elections come out for a second and 3rd opinion in which they all agreed that this is something they should have informed me of at the time of the replacement, they did the bare minimum, and they were not looking out for my best interest a customer or growing home. Now I am yet again in an electrical fire hazard. I reached out to American electric who refused to send someone out to take a look and refused to cover anything in their warranty and now they've moved locations. I spoke to the Owner ********** believe, who would not be of any help besides sending me another electrician to do the work for a whopping 1700$ which is the same amount I paid for replacing the panel. too many sharks in the water in the electrical industry and they all start with American Electrician, if I were you, I would seek electrical work elsewhere.

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy-all the work we did was permitted, inspected and passed by the building department. The estimate we gave you was for a panel swap, not for a service upgrade. When you contacted us after you had a visit from another electrician, I asked you to provide me with the load calculation they performed showing that your panel is overloaded, but you had no paperwork from that company. A 100AMP service is the appropriate size for your residence, it is also what everyone in your complex has, and there was no indication from you that you needed more amperage for any reason, so there would be no reason to upgrade your service. Lastly, there was no surge protector required by the building department, and you were not charged for a surge protector.Review from Clint H
