I was referred to Audubon *********************************************** by a podiatrist for custom orthotic. My insurance company will not pay for orthotics but I have a third party who will pay if I have a EOB showing the insurance did not pay. I explained this to 2 different people at Audubon and they said it would be no problem to bill insurance. They even went so far as to explain that if my insurance did agree to pay but I had not met my deductible the cost to me would be an additional $240.00 because they charge insurance $690 for custom orthotics but to pay cash is only $450.00. I confirmed at my appointment that my insurance company would be charged. After I paid out of pocket and received the orthotics I checked with my insurance company and the claim was not made. I called Audubon *********************************************** and was told they do not bill insurance and there is nothing they can do for me. This is a misrepresentation of the services they offer and I am out $450.00 because of itBusiness response

The claim was billed and was denied by her insurance, which was requested by the patient. The date of the transaction denial was on 04/13/2023. The *** with the denial should have been sent to her by her insurance company. Let me know if there are any other questions.
