Flat roof coating is peeling off in large chunks.We bought the house with the understanding the roof warranty was transferable; company exec quoted $500 to transfer, when we asked for an invoice, it stated $1000 (which we did not realize until months later, after method of payment specified was not available), later said only way to pay was by *****, no reply from company offering to bring by a cash or check. Was told they could Not accept checks.Business response

********* , we worked for the previous customer on this home and had a good relationship for 10 years. When we came out in march you was was giving a repair job for free as a sign of good Buisness , and we let you know we are arent under warranty since we worked for the previous customer. But we did the repair and told you to sign up for the extended warranty as we seen hail damage on the roof. You could have paid for the warranty by check , or credit card right then. Instead you requested an invoice for this.we sent the invoice twice. You had the original contract from the other customer , and you had no problem getting in touch with us right away , we came out and touched up a spot for you. Since then you claim spotty contact even though we also gave you estimates for painting , and you would call my office manager *** , and tell her the warranty was too expensive and the painting was too expensive. This went on for a couple months. Its up to you, you either get the warranty or you dont. You decided not to use our warranty. We do not accept Zelle or cash apps. Those are scam emails that is a big issue right now and I dont doubt you got a scam email but bottom line you had no problem calling us and could have called , and paid your warranty. You never did. Towards the end of the fall your husband left a demanding voicemail on our phone. Letting me know other people had been on the roof. So with the hail , and with other people having been on the roof we just do not have any responsibility to you. Bottom line you are not our customer. You recently sent a letter letting me know you are a lawyer , and again demanding refunds and cleaning ect. Again you are not our customer , and during a hail filled year we are very busy , and it is not our responsibility to keep track of non customers. I have plenty more to say but only allowed ***** letters. Peace???Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:In response to the company's answer, I would point out that he still has not identified what product was used on the roof or given any explanation why the roof has fared so poorly. His agreement with the prior owner was that the roof warranty was transferable. He did "fix" a small portion of the roof gratis, but then did not truly respond to our requests for transfer. No warranty documents were provided. He seems surprised someone would want an invoice showing why money was paid. I believe his employees told him the roof needed to be totally redone, so bad was the prior job, and rather than transfer the warranty and fix the problem, the owner simply avoided it, and then reacts with surprise when we do not take his behavior lightly.

The product was Uniflex bought from ******************************* , and when I was at your property ( not a worker as you previously stated ) when I was at your property in march I explained to you I thought you were hit by hail and you needed to transfer the warranty. I gave you the options at that time. You could have paid with check or credit card while I was there. You chose to be invoiced instead which we have done twice, and its is still unpaid to date. We do not cover hail damage or products for new home owners. We have also gave you prices on painting and you have called out office 3 times stating the quotes were too expensive. During a busy hail season it is not our responsibility to remind you to pay your invoice beyond the efforts we have already made. Again, you are not an active, current customer. Thank you, *********
