Charged me $8,206.21 for 1 bag of saline, 1 dose of zofran, some blood/urine tests, and two hours in the "emergency room". Just to note, they told me they would not do the IV and zofran for my daughter unless it was considered an "ER" visit. When they upgraded from urgent care to ER I didn't get a new special doctor, staff, or even a special er room. You just get charged 7K$ for services they could have provided either way. It feels criminal what they have charged me. By the way an IV and Oral Zofran are skills that a EMT-Basic are allowed to administer. As a matter of fact, the Nurse (or EMT) that was taking care of my daughter did all of the work (IV, Medications, monitoring, even got her the gatorade). The only time we saw the doctor was when he insisted that I sign off on this being an ER visit. This was not by any stretch of the imagination criteria for an ER visit. I will never visit again and am disputing what they charged me. I recommend you find somewhere else that is a little more up front about their billing practices. All that being said, the Nurse/emt we had was great. This review is on the predatory billing practices and not the nurse that took care of my daughter.
