This company is falsely advertising a business for sale by representing that it is located in *******************, ** when it is actually located out of state. I wasted a great deal of time on due diligence before discovering their dishonest business practice. I contacted the company and they said they did it because, the solar (sic) wanted to protect confidentialityBusiness response

Good morning,
**** did reach out to me directly and mentioned his frustration for having wasted his time reviewing a business that he thought was in *******************, but in fact was located in ******** *******. Quite honestly I understand that nobody wants to waste their time and Im sensitive to his frustration. However the email sales package that he received clearly states at the very top that the business is located in ******** ******* in the videos that he wouldve reviewed also define this very clearly. In addition to this the website which is prominently displayed at the top of the sales packet as a hyperlink am I getting into that he will also see that its located in ******** *******. Please see original sales package attached to this response, which has not been altered at all. Therefore most people before they even start reviewing a sales package they start at the top and this way they can see where the actual location of the business is. However Im sure that its possible that **** couldve missed this invested time thinking was in *******************,and for that I apologise.
Having said all this I specifically work for the owner of the business who is selling their business and confidentiality to this owner like most business owners is absolutely paramount and so the owner made it extremely clear to not identify the business in the original sales teaser as being in ******** ******* but in another city so people wouldnt figure out who was selling their business until the the broker was ready to release it to a given Buyer. In short I followed my clients instructions to the letter. But again it would be very hard to have invested a lot of time and miss something so prominently displayed as the location of the business for sale.

I am rejecting this response because:What you are engaging in has a name: Fraud
It seems you want to blame it on your co-conspirator, the seller.
See below from the ******** General Assembly:
What Is Fraud?
Fraud is...
an intentional misrepresentation of fact, whether by words or conduct, by false or misleading allegations, or by concealment of what should have been disclosed;
made by one person to another;
with knowledge of its falsity;
for the purpose of inducing the other person to act, and upon which the other person relies;
resulting in injury or damage.I believe the courts will disagree with your position.
