This company replaced my roof and did damage to my gutter cans. Water pours down from behind the gutter can on my second stored down on my canvas awning then down in front of my back door. They also dented my gutter cans in other places. I have pictures of the above. I also have reason to believe I have a poor roofing job with excessive use of nails covered with silicone. My concern is roof leaks as the silicone deteriorates. I am looking for another roofing company to check this out. Because of so many roofs damaged in the hurricane I have to wait for my roof to be check out. I have pictures of the nail use also. Calls to *********************** have been unsuccessful. He failed to show up on 3 scheduled appointments and now doesnt respond to phone messages. After being paid $17,000 for my new roof I believed these issues need to be addressed.

First I would like to address that the roof has been done to the correct codes and installation specs as they should be.  All the hip and ridge pieces at the end have nail showing called a shiner in which we put silicone over.  This is the correct way to do a roof.  Her roof has a lot of hips and ridges so has a lot of these nails are showing which we put silicone over each one.  With her gutters she was complaining how they were damaged before we even did the job and she was hoping we could get them approved by the insurance.  We did in fact get them approved by the insurance company which she is now pocketing the money for the gutters.  Which if she wants to do insurance fraud that is none of our business.  Her gutters are paid for in full by the insurance because they are in such bad shape which you can see in the insurance documents i attached.

With the roofing portion she signed a contract which I attached to this email which states she owes is the starting dollar amount $12,559 plus any insurance supplements.  ************* originally only approved $12,559 for the roof which was the house only.  We then supplemented the garage portion bringing the roof to the $20,147.78.  I have highlighted every item we did and it adds up to the $20,147.78.  In her response she admitted to only paying us $17,000.  She is pocketing $3,147.78 of our money which is once again insurance fraud.   We have filed a lien on her property as well as sent her to collections at this point.  Once it goes to legal it is out of our hand. We lived up to our part of the contract and went beyond what we had to do and got her garage approved.

Please find attached the highlighted insurance paperwork showing she owes $20,147.00  She  is asking us to give a $449 credit for the returned shingles.  We ordered these 12 extra bundles with our own money in case we had any issues with shingles or not having enough due to us special shipping these into a different state since Louisiana did not have the color she wanted.  With the $250.00 referral she does not get this because her friend she referred us to did not go with us, she went with another company.  If she wants to keep the $250.00 for the damaged gutters she is saying we damaged she has she can keep that.  ************* paid her $1504 to replace her old gutters because they were already damaged from the storm. Again these are funds it sounds like she is going to pocket and not replace the gutters which is insurance fraud.  ************* fraud ***************************** in committing with pocketing insurance proceeds for the gutters and the roof we *** not want to be apart of and I am sure the BBB does not support this either. We would like to be paid the $3,147.78 she owes us.  We have already sent this to collections as well as to a our lawyer.  Please find attached the insurance paperwork that has the break down of what the insurance has paid her for what work. I would like to have the name of the Roofing company that came to your property and did a roofing inspection so we can meet them out at the property and walk the property with them.  I am positive this roof is installed up to code and the correct way.  Can you also please send over the roof report.  WE have dealt with homeowners like this in the past we get one every year that will try making every excuse in the book to pocket the insurance money.  We are a company that is very by the books and will not be apart of insurance fraud with allowing the homeowner pocket insurance money.  Sorry that is against our company ethics.  We put a really nice roof on that was installed correctly, my company worked very hard to make sure the homeowner received what she wanted and even brought the color of shingles she wanted in from a different state.
