This was the worst company I've worked with. They just showed up at our house for a fire we had over the summer. We didn't call them or anything, we felt pressured as they were telling us there was possible asbestos and demolished some of the house and set it on the side of our house for months. They were supposed to pick it up the next week after the results came back, since they were negative for asbestos they said that we were then owners of cleaning the mess they made on the side of the house, which they said they would take care of. They also provided FANs that they were supposed to come pick up a week later but never did, so they charged us for the fans for 6 months without calling or confirming we were ok with that. We weren't even using the fans anymore as they were only supposed to be for a week, they were sitting in the garage waiting on Abbotss to come pick up. So this caused our price to go way above what we agreed upon on signing the contract. They then said they could work with us on a payment plan for anything the extra coverages and anything over what the insurance provider gave for the damages. 2 months later they stated that wasn't true and we had to pay the fees. I would never recommend this company to anyone or use them again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Save yourself and stay far away from this company! Trust the reviews that say they make an already stressful situation so much worse! They are fraudulent and as many have said in reviews, they need to be investigated and I will do everything I can to make sure they are. I had a flood in my basement right before I was about to list my house. I used this company and that was the worst business decision I have ever made. I should have read reviews!! Insurance paid them $20K. After I moved they sent their collection goon, *************** after me. I couldnt understand why because insurance already paid them and I paid the deductible. They said I owed $5,500K more. I paid it to be done with it because they ruined my credit and I wanted it off my report. Their goon said Abbotts owned the debt and he was just the middle man, so I paid Abbotts directly and they provided receipts. However, the idiot with the nasally voice, *************** that they partner with would not remove it from my credit report, even though ***** at Abbotts said she asked him to. She said the goon wouldnt return her calls. He only changed the balance to zero on the credit reports. Fast forward two years and Im now being garnished $3,100K!! They say its court costs (there must have been a two week trial that I wasnt aware of! (Heavy sarcasm)). So this fiasco has cost $30K for a small basement cleanup, which is more than it cost to finish the basement in the first place. Im a single parent with a medical condition and they are making life so much more difficult. Also, of note, they charged for laminate and installed cheap carpet and they didnt even fix the problem. I had to hire other contractors to come in after and fix it! Their workers cant speak a word of English so they are impossible to communicate with. I agree with the people that have said they need to be investigated and I will do everything in my control to see that they are!

This company is a scam and needs to be investigated into. They quoted me a price, came and broke the baseboards, ripped the carpet, and stripped the finish off the wooden floors with their masking tape and did not fix it. After an hour of sloppy destruction I requested they leave and never come back, and paid them the quoted price. I had to hire another company to come in and fix all their problems. Then they send me new bills with different prices-sometimes $4,000, sometimes $5,000 without explaining what it is for. They also leave harassing voice messages. I do not think this company is a legitimate company and the BBB should look into it.

Updated review...be cautious ?? not the price or service they claim. They solicit reviews prior to price quotes (we were actually asked to leave a 5 star review citing names so they could get bonuses), and the actual price was 3 times what was quoted to us. Additionally, they forget to mention increased service costs depending on the day of the week (huge weekend upcharges). And now we can't speak to our estimator for another week because he doesn't have time for a clarification phone call. So disappointing.

I had to hire them due to an electrical fire in my condo in July of 2021 while dealing with the death of my 25 year old son. I was in a hotel for exactly 90 days and when I was told that I could finally come into my home, they left streaks of chemicals on my windows, they never came back to paint or clean my airducts and they still haven't came to pick up their machine or lockbox. I called **** so many times and he would not return any of my calls, texts or voice mails. I ended up having to hire another company to come out and clean my airducts and to paint. It is 12-06-21 and I still have yet to hear back from anyone at Abbotts! This company only wants your insurance money and they will do the slightest work possible!! Will never recommend them or call them again!!!
