      I was charged $59 on April 14 for a gym membership to Summit Strong. I requested a refund of training sessions and a cancellation of my membership through their online contact us form. They did not send a confirmation email when the contact ** form was submitted so I do not know the exact date, but Summit Strong likely has a record of the communication in whatever inbox it is routed to. I have a contemporaneous email record of following up on March 16 asking for a status update on my request (attached). The email refers to my submittal of the request as a few weeks ago as of March 16. Summit Strong has a policy that 30 days notice is required to cancel a membership. I sent a message through proper channels to cancel my membership over 30 days before my most recent charge appeared on my credit card statement on April 14. I am requesting $59 be refunded to me.

      I am rejecting this response because the business did not attach the relevant submittal through the contact us form on their website. I contacted them again on February 21 requesting a cancellation.

      I was told there was a 30 notice for cancellations. Knowing I had to leave ****** by August 12th, I gave my notice around July 5th to an employee who took my name and made a note. On august 19th, over 2 weeks after my account should have been canceled, I was charged for my member ship and then the following day my account was canceled. I called the gym 3 times and called the manager 2 times and texted 2 times and I have never heard back from anyone at all. No one has any answers and they are all very put out that I would even try to correct this.

      Spoke with member & rectified issue that was at hand. System made an error on running payment for account set to cancel. Member was refunded & manager spoke with member over the phone to verify that billing info on file was correct to refund incorrect payment back to member. Member did not have any additional complaints regarding cancellation.

      This gym is notorious for robbing peoples bank information. Every single customer, once their membership expires, and they say they dont want to continue, they have no choice because they will be charged. I paid ***** for a year and told the gym staff many times I was leaving after my membership was done. I then got charged ***** and when I tried to call and get it refunded, no one called me back or helped me. I called the gym yesterday and asked for a refund, was told they would try. Called back today, they said they were working on it. I texted one of the employees to help me, and she said if I keep calling and inquiring about this That they would report this to my bank. This was a very unwarranted threat, and the reason I am here writing this. The malpractice in accounting for this business is outrageous. I used to date one of the employees and she said *************************, the owner, purposely does this to rob people. He makes people notice the charge, then call in. Even after those customers were told their payments would stop and cancel. I knew this would happen, so I triple confirmed with the staff my card would not be charged. It was charged *****. I have not gotten my refund, and I was blocked by **** and the employees. I have attached the screen shot of the threat. Geni, is the general manager. Also, employees only make $12 and hour which is illegal. I would do an audit of this business because the owner is 100% avoiding taxes and employee rights. I always knew this gym was sketchy, but when **** took over it got bad. ****** reviews tells a story.

      As previously discussed with the former member, our system made an error which we rectified & refunded upon receiving notice that there was an issue. The amount in question was $89 & proof of refund was emailed & texted to former member. As per the attached receipt, it can be observed that the refund was completed many hours prior to the complaint being filed. Member money has been refunded & membership was successfully cancelled with no further pending payments.
