    AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR LOVED-ONE'S HEALTH!Our Dr's ****** recommended Abode because we were in need of CNA services, which the home health service we were already using didn't offer, in addition to PT, *********** therapy for our family member. We were advised that an intake assessment would be performed within 48 hours of signing on with Abode, per ******** requirements, but they didn't send anyone out until day 4, and that was after we called numerous times to request an appointment! After one appointment with a nurse (who reeked of cigarette smoke) to do intake questions (and nothing else AND who informed us that Abode was short-staffed and didn't have any CNAs!!!), we waited another 3 days before calling our liaison at Abode to find out why no therapist had been in touch despite it being half-way through the week, and 3 therapy sessions were needed with only 2 work days left. She told us that she had a team meeting later in the day, would talk to the therapists and get back to me "shortly" with answers. She never called back. Finally, tired of calling these folks back multiple times a day just to get nowhere, we asked our dr's ****** for help. They arranged for the previous home health service to take us back. Since Abode had only come for one visit in 8 days, the dr's ****** and the other home health service advised Abode to not **** ******** for the single visit - instead, offered to directly pay Abode the full cost ******** would have issued, so that we could continue to receive the full extent of ********-covered services by the original company. (For those of you who are thinking of switching services part-way through your 30-day period of coverage, BE AWARE that ******** drops the coverage rate drastically when you move from one company to another within a billing cycle - this means you'll get FAR LESS care than you would have with the original company!)Abode has been dragging their feet, despite agreeing to sign the contract the other company sent them, committing to pay them in full for their one visit; they don't stand to gain anything by doing this - they get their money either way (whether from ******** or the other company), but their pettiness is resulting in our family member losing a SIGNIFICANT number of therapy sessions AFTER he already lost a week's worth of therapy because Abode couldn't be bothered to send therapists out.This company is run inefficiently, and WITHOUT ANY REGARD FOR THEIR CLIENTS. They won't do what they're hired to do, but will intentionally stand in the way of others who are willing to go the extra mile to help a patient in need.
