The owner has consistently forced me to pay for the **** service calls when the machine wasnt working, I provided evidence that the **** was not cooling the unit, he hired two professionals to fix it. They did nothing. I hired an expert to inspect the **** and they found that the vent had not been sealed in less than two minutes. Thus, I had been cooling an external closet. Yet the owner told me that the root cause was that I didnt know how to use air conditioning and charged $450 for professionals to do nothing.Business response

As it relates to complaint number ******** from ******************************* on insert date, on three separate occasions the tenant, ******************************* reported no cooling or inadequate cooling in the unit. **************** held a lease up until August 30th 2021 for the premises located at ****************************************************************** the first two instances service technicians were dispatched at the tenants request and the property manager namely Blueshift Real Estate Services dispatched the technicians and checked on status of the system. In the first (June 23) instance the technicians checked the system the tenant provided access and found the system to be cooling adequately. In the second instance (July 6) the technicians arrived to check the system and found both full-size sliding glass doors to be open with the temperature outside in excess of 95 degrees. Although the system was found to be working properly as the evidenced by air temperature at the events in the high 40 degree Fahrenheit range, the system could not keep up and adequately cool the unit below the low 80s because the doors were open. Once the doors were closed the unit cooled adequately. We received report from the tenant that she had hired another company to investigate no cooling on July 13. She engaged this company directly without landlord involvement and they again informed her that the unit was working correctly. She sent the bill to the property manager requesting reimbursement. The ** was found to be cooling within its specifications on all three visits from HV** professionals and therefore the cost is the tenants to bear. All of these instances have a crying wolf effect with the expectation on the part of the tenant that whatever help she needs even if the cost of it is their responsibility be passed onto the property owner. The calls on the part of the tenant constitute neglect on the part of the tenant. Upon inspection of the system following the tenants vacating the unit on August 30,2022 we found the system to be working satisfactorily and cooling the unit to the set temperature of 74 degrees.
