Hi there! As a first-time engagement ring shopper, I went to this business on my first visit to start ring shopping. *******, I made it very clear that it was my first-time ring shopping. I was made to feel a sense of urgency when buying a ring due to the timeline that I needed it by (which was over a month away and after learning from other jewelers, a month out is far from the case). Because of this high-pressure environment, I put my deposit down quickly as I was told my ring wouldn't be ready in time. After making my deposit, I went to other stores only to learn that they were selling the same exact stones for a fraction of the price and asked the diamond reserve that they refund my deposit, as the custom ring had not even started production yet, nor was the design or rendering delivered to me. While nobody disclosed this to me, they pointed to a clause on the deposit form, which I had overlooked. While this felt dishonest, because it was on the form, I went along with the order paying far above what was offered by a competitor, understanding that this technically my mistake. After coming back to finalize the design, I asked hundreds of questions on buying a "lab grown diamond" something they were heavily pushing on me, I was consistently told that because it is a "real" diamond it holds its value the same as a natural diamond, something I made clear was of importance to me. Due to tragic circumstances, I am forced to end my engagement. After reaching out to the business with little success to see if there was anything that could be done, I was taught that there was nothing that could be done, leaving me to naturally think "okay, they mentioned that lab grown diamonds hold their value just like their natural counterparts, I can sell it". Trying to sell it to reputable jewelers I learned that they misrepresented the condition of the diamond, and the jewelers I took it to were in awe of what I paid and told me that it is well-known within the industry that lab grown diamonds have NO resale value, and the diamond was flawed.Initial Complaint

This business took a deposit from me and isn't using the funds to make me anything. They kept my money and aren't providing any service.
