I worked for SOS site services for 2 weeks. The training I received was from a 70 year woman that was completely a disaster. This woman was all over the place, she could not stick to one part of training. I was told by the *** *********************, that we would get paid weekly. I received my first check on January 19th ****, So I deposit my paycheck in my bank account Friday afternoon. I waited till Tuesday morning to see if the funds where available. The funds were not available so I decided to call my bank. My bank informed me that the check was flagged and possible a fraudulent check, which was under review and will not see the funds until the 30th. I texted ****** to inform him of the matter. He insisted that it was my issue with my bank. I confirmed with my bank and it was not an issue with my bank. ****** later became defensive, and sent screenshots of the check I deposit in my bank. I proceeded to call his bank, and was told just because he sent screenshots of a supposedly cleared check, it did not mean that the check was cleared. After I text him and told him what his bank stated to me, he became very disrespectful and unprofessional. Now mind you I received this check January 19th,**** and until they can confirm that it is not a fraudulent check, I won't get paid until January 30th. I have to go back on Friday to get my last paycheck on January 26th, ****. Which means hopefully I will be able to cash my second/last check on Friday without any issues. ********************* has no class and purely is ______ of this earth. Best of luck who ever works for this man.

    SOS Site Services Response

    01/29/2024

It is accurate that this employee was hired and worked for SOS Site Services for 2 weeks beginning 1/8/24 and ending 1/22/24.  The "70 year woman" is not a disaster, but rather a seasoned Administrator who was expecting to train a new Office Administrator who, ultimately misrepresented her skill set on at least two separate occasions during both her 1st and 2nd interviews.  She stated that she was proficient in ********* Excel, but after a week+ of training with our current Administrator, it became evident that this was not the case.  When asked to put in a simple addition formula, she put "4+2" into a cell and didn't understand why it still said "4+2".  She was also unable to hide/ unhide columns or add filters.  These are all very basic functions of Excel.  At the end of her 2nd week, our current Administrator told her that she was going to recommend to management (*********************) that she take a basic level Excel class followed by an advanced level Excel class.  The following Monday, she came into work, worked from 8:00am-9:15am, and then abruptly walked out without any communication to management.  She simply left a timesheet on her desk that reflected the **** hours of work, and then wrote "Resigned" on the timesheet.

The statement of receiving her 1st paycheck on 1/19/24 is also accurate.  However, as I told her several times via text message, SOS Site Services has no control over the processing and release of funds from any other banks than the ones that we do business with.  On Tuesday, 1/22/24, I was contacted by her in regard to the hold and told her the same thing.  Also on Tuesday, 1/22/24, the check in question did clear our bank, and funds were withdrawn from our account.  The screenshot of this check was then sent to her.  Beyond these steps, I don't know what we were expected to do.  As for her paycheck on 1/26/24; she received it, and it was cashed by her at our bank.  From the prospective of a small business owner, this woman is just being vengeful because she was called out on her clear misrepresentation of qualifications during the hiring process.

I would be happy to discuss this further with anyone who may have questions.
