    First time, and the last time, we boarded our dog at Barkly Manor. Our dog doesn't eat lunch but I packed some mid-day treats for her for them to give her around the time other dogs eat lunch. I showed these bags to the lady when I dropped her off. The bags were labeled and dated. They did NOT give her the treats on either day she was there. The bag of food from Saturday dinner was returned to us. First they said "not all dogs eat their food". Our dog never misses a meal. Then it changed to she did eat dinner but they made it sound like it was her breakfast that they left for her to eat, yet no one could tell me approximately when she ate the food. Perhaps it was early enough and another meal should have been given to her! I don't believe she was fed. I asked why she was not given her dog treats and the guy admitted he didn't give them to her, "I don't usually give dogs treats". What a ridiculous response! Is it common for employees to blatantly ignore feeding instructions? That is not okay! Also, it was obvious they left our dog in a kennel for an unreasonable amount of time as she peed all over her dog toy. It was soaked with urine. Again, not acceptable. This place reeked of urine too! No one really seemed to care that they missed giving her treats and possibly missed feeding her. They did not use the blanket we provided. This is on their website: Barkly Manor sends daily emails and texts with photos and updates on how your dogs day went. Did not receive an email or text until Sunday morning, no update or any other information was sent on Friday or Saturday. I do not recommend this place to care for your dog.
