I purchased a 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy on October 6th 2022 for the amount of $1300.00 from one of the store owners ********************************* at Aquatic Dog *********************************************************************. ******************************* ************. The day I brought her home she had blood in her stools which she was given medication for from my first Veterinarian appointment on Oct 7th 2022 at ***************************** **********************************************************************. www.*************** ************. Prairie (puppy) was given medication for Giardia and Cystoisosprora. I contacted Aquatic Dog the next day to let them know what she had and ****** offered to pay for the medication which was $19.71. It seemed to clear up but only for a few days, she gradually got worse. On Oct 22, 2022 we made another visit to my Veterinarian at Parkside. It was recommended for me to take her to an ** Vet due to her being to sick for them to take care of her. We went to *********** ** at ****************************************************************. **************, ************. After 3 vet visits and at a staggering cost of $2499.72 it was recommended by the ** vet that she be Euthanized. I was told she would not live another day due to organ failure and several other problems. That day she was Euthanized. Paperwork was provided to Aquatic Dog of what they requested, but every time I provided them with what they asked ***************************** would ask for more. He didn't return my phones calls when he said he would, and **** contacted him via phone call and email. **** wanted in writing from AESC that ******* died from a genetic disease. Blood work was done to show organ failure as attached. However the only way to prove it was caused from genetic defect was to have an Ultrasound costing $1000.00 or more. Why would I spend that much more money when the Prairie was already to sick to live? According to Aquatic Dog website they sold healthy puppies which are not from puppy *****. I was not sold a healthy puppy. Want refund

The initial Vet findings were that the pup was in good health. We have not received any statement from the vet saying that it was a congenital defect. There are other possible causes that the vet has suggested could be responsible for the death of the puppy. We will not be issuing a refund.

I am rejecting this response because: When I purchased the puppy I believed I was receiving a healthy dog which was not the case. The first night she had blood in her stools and didn't have a healthy appetite like the store said she did.  The pet store stated they didn't see any blood in her stools before they sold her to me, and how could they she was in a glass pen with several other puppies. It would be hard to tell which puppy it came from and with the wood shavings it would be hard to notice.   Aquatic dog wanted a Vet to state her death was cased from an genetic defect which would be the only way to prove besides the bloodwork, was to have an ultrasound performed at the cost of $1000.00 or more. Why would I do that when she wouldn't of lived another day anyway. This puppy dies from over breeding. I am discussed with how Aquatic Dog has handled all of this and people need to know.

      Sincerely,

      *********************************

As per the warranty **************** signed and agreed to, she had 5 business days in which to have the puppy checked by a veterinarian, We were not informed of any problems until 3 days after the fact. It is not the policy of our company to offer a refund where no fault was found. It is our position that there was nothing wrong with the puppy and that whatever happened was the result of the care given to the puppy after it left our possession.

      Complaint: 18717358

I am rejecting this response because: ***************************** from Aquatic Dog stated in his response that I had 5 days after the purchase of the puppy to take her to a Veterinarian to be checked out,  which I did.  I purchased Prairie on October 6, 2022 due to her having blood in her stools the day I brought her home.  I made a vet appointment the very next day on October 7, 2022.  The results were she had Giardia and Cystoisasprora per attachment which was also followed up with a phone call from *************** health. The next day I contacted Aquatic Dog via phone call and spoke to ********************************* to let her know Prairie had ******* and Cystoisasprora which caused blood in her stools.  According to **** this is a common problem and shouldn't worry about it,  however this was just the start of Prairie's health problems. She was given medication for the infection which cleared up only for a few days and then she had blood in her stools again and very poor appetite.  Prairie's health continually got worse day by day which lead to more vet visits totaling $2499.72 and finally to her demise on October 22, 2022.  I was not sold a healthy puppy to begin with and Aquatic Dog owners need to be held accountable.

      Sincerely,

      *********************************
