On August 12, 2022 I paid Formula Roofing $16,106.00 in full for solar panel installation on my roof. To this date, although the panels have been installed I am still without solar power up and running. There have been multiple failures on their part to get the permits. They ignore my emails and complaints. The electric company has passed some approvals but I still remain without solar and responses to my emails. This has been extremely stressful. I am considering selling my home and cannot do so without the panels up and running or them removing them, refunding me, and replacing my roof.Business response

Formula Roofing and Solar has been reimbursing ******************** for all her electric bills since January 2023, and we will continue to do so until the *************************************** provides permission to operate the system. The continued delays are indeed unacceptable and I, *************************, owner of Formula, am determined to rectify this matter to ********************** satisfaction at any cost, which I have personally guaranteed to her when we spoke by phone last Friday.Initial Complaint

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Formula Roofing and Remodeling regarding unresolved issues with their services. The complaint pertains to the incomplete, unsafe, and negligent work on several jobs, including a new deck railing, a new coat of paint on the back side of my house, and the deck flooring. These agreements were made during the purchase of my property on October 31st, 2022.Here are the details of the complaint:Agreement: As part of the home purchase process, I made an agreement with the seller that Formula Roofing and Remodeling would complete several jobs, including installing a new deck railing, applying a new coat of paint on the back side of the house, and the deck flooring. While there was no specific agreed-upon date, it was expected that the work would be completed in a timely manner.Payment disclosure: The amount of money for these jobs was not directly disclosed to us, but it was handled by the seller and the seller's insurance as part of the home sale agreement. The seller received the necessary funds, which were intended for Formula Roofing and Remodeling to carry out the agreed-upon work.Incomplete work: Formula Roofing and Remodeling completed the deck flooring, but the other jobs, namely the new deck railing and the new coat of paint, remain unfinished. Moreover, the deck flooring in the incomplete section was installed incorrectly and poses safety hazards. The improper installation has compromised the structural integrity of the deck, making it unsafe for use.Negligent practices: In addition to the unfinished and unsafe work, there were several screws and debris left scattered around the deck area after the floor was completed. This negligent practice by Formula Roofing and Remodeling not only indicates a lack of professionalism but also poses safety risks for our family and anyone using the deck.Ineffectual communications: I have tried reaching out to them via both calls and texts, but there has been no effort on their part to address the incomplete, unsafe, and negligent work or provide any updates on the matter.Business response

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention ******************. I believe the owner of Formula Roofing, ************************* was communicating with you today. He also followed up with an email summarizing the results of your proposed resolution, which can be found below:
"Hello ****,
Thank you for your time on the phone just now. Sorry again for the delays you have experienced regarding Formula's completion of the work at your property. Please review the following summary of deliverables from Formula and respond by email that we are in agreement.
1. Formula will mail you a $1200 check payable to *********************** at ***************************************************************. This is a credit for the deck railing replacement which you have elected to perform yourself.
2. ***** will contact you promptly to schedule the paint work and any repairs of loose boards on the deck flooring. He will also use a large magnet to sweep for any spare screws surrounding the deck. Note, Formula will proceed with the painting even though you have yet to complete the new trim installation on that elevation.
We value your satisfaction and look forward to resolving your concerns as soon as possible. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at ************.
Sincerely,
********"Customer response
