I'm a disabled Veteran. Throughout the demanding eight-month period with RWR, we initially experienced months of no communication after roof completion in July 2023. Then, in November, we received the bill and call from the salesman with an unexpected $8,000 surge in price. Unfortunately, the salesman provided no explanation other than demanding immediate payment and also demanding a 5-star rating because we were given a veterans only upgrade of a 3 tab hail resistant beautiful roof over and over after each question. We initially awarded them the contract because we had previously received an offer for $20k, and they assured us they could beat that offer and complete the work for $12k. However, now they are requesting $20k, aligning with the previous contractor's quote. In hindsight, we should have chosen the previous contractor for their honesty and transparency in pricing. At this point, I had to start digging into the bill and calling the insurance carrier myself which we found out they never sent a completion notice to release remaining balances. Their communication methods were lacking, especially considering my stated illness to the salesman; they relied solely on texting, which isn't ideal for someone like me who doesn't constantly check their phone. Additionally, they didn't send bills via email for months or even better, post mail, which is standard practice for professional companies. Upon reviewing the text messages, I found no indication that the price would be increasing during the installation from the original contract, nor were any reasons provided for the escalation. Bait and Switch and be aware of the back of the contract they have you sign. There are 2 charges of 10% for profit and overhead. They do not disclose this verbally and you will get a big surprise bill in the end like us which was 36% over there initial bid.
