Service paid for on 5/12/2023. Forever Young BBL facial service (laser) - 3 treatments over several months - $1,147.50. I also purchased $421.60 in product to use before/during/after treatments which apparently I can't continue to use now.On 5/12/2023 I had a consultation. I went over my lifestyle & was told: no sun exposure 2-3 days after each treatment. There was no mention of swelling or bruising or problems w veining. Two days before my scheduled treatment on 6/8, I received the "form" which had a list of "precautions" including no sun exposure for **** days, possible bruising/swelling, etc. When I called the business expressing concerns, I was told the "precautions" were just that - like smoking precautions on a pack of cigarettes. I wasn't to worry. Really? So if I had too much sun exposure and there was a problem it wouldn't be the businesses fault, it would be mine. If I didn't sign the form, I couldn't proceed with the treatment. All or nothing. The form's precautions should have been provided to me PRIOR to me paying for the service along with a cancellation policy which I just asked for today. I initially indicated that I would reschedule the treatment in October timeframe when I wouldn't be out in the sun so much but I did not think the business should withhold and keep my entire amount. Business owner didn't care and didn't offer any other concession such as 1/2 to ensure I would rebook. At this point, due to how the business owner handled the situation, I don't even want to use their services. They offered to give me a credit towards other so-called treatments which I don't want or need and even towards other product to the tune of $1000.00. I only want a refund of the 3 service treatments in the amount of $1,147.50 not the entire amount of $1,569.91 which included product and which again, I can't use unless I proceed with the treatments and sign the "form."Business response

We're sorry you feel your experience was not up to your standards. We can understand how frustrating it must have been expecting to do a treatment that will help you with your skin concern and then realize that you could not do it because of your sun exposure and the precautions you must take before and after your Laser Treatment. Like our Professional Medical Aesthetician mentioned in your Laser Consultation you must avoid direct sun exposure such as going to the beach etc. During the consultation our aesthetician was only aware that you would be outdoors for a couple hours, she was not made aware of your plans to garden or be outside for more than a couple hours a day and your upcoming beach trips. Once we were aware of your plans our medical aesthetician mentioned to you her concern about moving forward with the services because of the precautions that were stated in our forms. We are aware you wanted to receive these treatments as soon as you could. Our main goal here at The Look Salon and Med Spa is to protect your skins integrity and educate our clients on the dos and don'ts of our services. Out of courtesy we are still willing to offer you an extension on the expiration date of your package. Your package expiration date is not until Oct 2023 and we would be pleased to extend that time.
Regarding the forms, you have signed our Client Consultation & Skin Analysis Intake form, as well as agreed to our BBL Form. In those forms they state Avoid the sun without sunscreen, any exfoliating treatment, as well as any physical activity for 72 hours after your procedure. Also, we do have a flyer on our reception desk and our website about our returns, exchanges, and cancelation policy, stating that all sales are final.
