Our kiddo had a fantastic experience to **********. Walking Tree Travel partnered with our school spanish program to provide an immersive learning experience. They ensure that not only do the kids have a fantastic experience but that they give back to the community they are visiting by incorporating a community project. Interestingly enough, that was my child's favorite part - mixing cement with the community and helping to build a community gathering building. Although she did say that it was really hard to chose one favorite thing because the trip was so great. I think the other thing that as a parent I loved about walking tree is that they have a secure website section for your trip specifically, they have clear and timely communications, and they ensure that things go smoothly. Also even when things don't go smoothly which why would they with a group of middle schoolers? They have an intensely experienced team with protocols for everything.

We had a wonderful experience working with Walking Tree Travel. They were knowledgeable, kind and professional. My daughter had an amazing trip to ********** with them and I felt comfortable knowing she was in goods hands.

Our daughter really enjoyed her service trip to **********! Before the trip, ******* at Walking Tree was extremely helpful and communicative of what to expect during the trip and how best to prepare. The website had everything we needed in terms of packing lists and itinerary. During the trip, there were daily updates (often written by the kids) and photos on the blog which helped us feel connected across the miles.Walking Tree knows how to create adventurous, educational and socially impactful trips that allow teens to experience international travel and have an opportunity to contribute to a local neighborhood and practice their language skills. Our daughter was the youngest participant on her trip (rising sophomore, not quite 15 years old, who enthusiastically asked to go on the trip) and experienced a bit of homesickness the first few days. She was given a little extra moral support from her Walking Tree guide, ****** that really made a difference to settling in to 10 days away from home. This goes to show that Walking Tree trips allow space for the most outgoing or experienced travelers to the more introverted or uncertain travelers to have a meaningful and impactful experience.We thought the cost of the trip was quite reasonable for the level of care and service that was provided. ******* was extremely clear about Walking Tree's learnings from prior trips and also pandemic issues, so we knew up front what the financial costs and policies were. We appreciated the clarity of communications and highly recommend Walking Tree to any family considering participation in one of their trips!

My ninth grade son signed up for the one week trip to *************** was nervous given his age but the walking tree team was absolutely amazing. There were daily communication from the student and tons of pictures from the leaders. The itinerary was the right combination of service and touring the island to learn about its history including tour of Old ************, Paddle boarding in Condado and ziplining while changing a family life by creating a beautiful house. My son said the experience changed his life and how he see things. The family who they helped had no kitchen for two years and they were a wonderful couple with their son. My son will be back next year. Thank you walking tree!

Our son had an amazing experience with his service trip with his school through Walking Tree. We felt very informed and confident that he would have a great trip. Our son is very quiet, but wrote so much about his time - how helping a family rebuild their home showed him just what privileges he has back in the Continental US, yet the pure joy and gratitude of the people he met...he said he wants to do this again. We are so grateful our school chose Walking Tree Travel for their service trip, and would recommend them again and again!

As a school admin, I am very intentional when sending students abroad on experiential learning/ service trips. Since 2017, we have worked with Walking Tree exclusively and they have safely led us on incredible trips in **********, ******, *********** and as I write this, ********! My kids come back having had the best experiences of their lives, and our parents rest easy knowing that Walking Tree has every detail taken care of + group leaders who are kind and knowledgeable. Post-pandemic, we set out to reconsider other companies simply because it seemed like a good time to go shopping. No other company came close to Walking Tree. Other programs that I sought were shorter, more expensive, lacked the intentionally designed service+fun activities and in general, did not include the personalized care that Walking Tree takes. I am grateful for the years spent with Walking Tree, and I can't wait for our upcoming trips to ********** and ****** in '23 and '24!

Walking Tree is staffed with caring and compassionate people who are also passionate about what they do and they work hard to make your trip a success. I would recommend them to any group that wants to travel and experience the area as an immersion and not a tourist. If that makes any sense, then you know what I mean. I think very highly of the group and all they try to achieve. Can't wait to travel with them in 2023.
