8/30/2024. This towing company should be aware of how a normal business should operate. The customer service is a joke and without a doubt the worst experience Ive ever had to go through. The woman I spoke to was beyond unprofessional and I honestly thought I was getting pranked by the way she conducted herself. She refused to state her name as to who I can reference set up my appointment to PICK UP MY CAR. Never got my name as to who was picking up the vehicle at the appointment time she said was available. I showed up only to find out it would be an additional $100 for picking up a car after hours which was NEVER initially stated to begin with. They unlawfully failed to provide a 24 notice prior to tow. I took photos of unauthorized vehicles on 8-31-2024 and these vehicles are still parked within a unauthorized zone. This feels and is completely targeted and unfair. This company makes up their own prices and is completely unjustifiable and wrong. The location of this business is very sketchy w zero knowledge of Colorado state towing laws. Overall these people should not be in business and I have no clue how they are legally able to scam people out of their time and money. I called the police after refusing to give our car back and a report has been created.

After being towed on the evening of 7/3 and returning to the premise of my tow and being legally parked I noticed multiple vehicles with individuals prowling the private parking lot. One vehicle (white ***** Malibu no tags) changed positions after I entered my vehicle so it could seemingly have a better vantage point of the drivers seat. I was towed within 1 hour of parking and was in the process of completing my guest parking registration. I find it highly unlikely that in a garage with an abundance of parking spaces that I somehow was towed so quickly, especially after returning to check on vehicle the next morning and seeing two occupied, untagged vehicles seemingly watching and waiting on my pass to expire. This definitely feels like a predatory and illegal practice.

My car was illegally towed from the Ascent at ******************* complex. The towing company is claiming that my car was not registered for the complex and has no history of it ever being registered; however, on March I emailed and texted the property regarding my registration information, I registered my vehicle when I signed my lease, and put my car information in the Ascent at ****** app. I showed the towing company proof that I loved at the residence and the email for the leasing office confirming that they received my information. However I was still forced to pay to get my car back. The towing company is telling me to blame the leasing office/Redstone. And when I finally heard back from somebody in the office, I was told that they never authorized my car being towed. Due to this, I have now lost a day of work/wages and accumulated towing fees in the amount of $239.88.

my car was towed at an apartment complex overnight. when i called the tow company they proceeded to tell me that they had the car at one of their locations and i had to pay a base rate of $230 plus mileage and taxes for sitting at the lot. mind you she couldnt give me an exact amount. i had scheduled a time to pick up the car at 12pm. As 12pm was coming up they moved my appointment to 1pm. I tried to call back and confirm my appointment, i called 3-4 times back to back and all my calls were being sent to voicemail. As i showed up at 1pm no one is outside and im calling and knocking on the door. minutes later I get a call back from a random number and they are calling on the behalf of the company she told me they would have to reschedule my appointment to 6-6:30pm mind you I had to take time from my job to drive 40 minutes to this place for them to tell me to come back later. As im reading the *********** reviews this company does this with everyone. Gives them the run around and over charges $100+. Something needs to be done

Colorado Auto Recovery has been illegally towing cars and practically stealing them. Then over charging people illegally. My vehicle was towed from a lot that has no signs indicating no overnight or extended parking. This spot is a location I was told to park due to the limited parking available at my complex. I was notified by certified mail that my vehicle

According to the Towing bill of rights of Colorado ( HB22-1314), Towing companies must provide written notice 24 hours before a nonconsensual tow, with some exceptions (for example, if the vehicle is blocking a marked fire zone). This applies only to Private Residential properties where the illegal tow occurred. I was given no notice of the tow and was charged the full towing bill of $293. The company stated and I do have a recording of him confirming no notice was needed as the agreement with the property was for immediate tows without notice. This is an egregious attempt to skirt Colorado law.

On Feb. 16, 2024 my car was illegally towed from my apt parking garage in which I pay for every month. They stated there was no visible parking permit from the front or back but that is a lie. I looked at the photos and can see the parking permit hanging on the mirror as we were instructed to do. From the back you can clearly see the permit number on there. This is the second time I was towed and I feel the complex also knew and had them do this. I feel maintenance was the one requesting it towed. They also did not offer me the 15% or $60 release fee by law. Nor did they give 24 hours notice. I'm picking it up tomorrow it should be 490$ so I was told. Plus they charge a $75 admin fee. Refund and repair to damage done to vehicle

My car was towed last week by Colorado Auto Recovery and they caused physical damage on my new vehicle that had no prior marks or damages. When you compare the pictures they took before towing my car and the pictures taken at their lot where my vehicle was, you can clearly see damages that this company created. As a legit business, they have no right damaging the vehicle theyre towing. I reached out to them and received a reply that theyre not responsible since my vehicle was towed with proper reason. They should not get away with damaging peoples property.

My car was towed from the parking lot of the apartment building Ive lived for about four years now, between 7 PM and 9 PM on January 23, 2024. I called the towing company and found out where it was and scheduled the soonest appointment to pick it up which wasnt until 12:15 AM the next morning. I drove it straight home parked the car, got out and manually pushed in my side, mirrors. When I got to the passenger side, I realized there was a big dent on the roof of my vehicle and the window was scratched. I contacted the tow company right away and they said to email them to file a claim. I took pictures and sent it along with my claim through email the same morning. I received an email back a couple days later, and they said they will open an investigation, a week past I emailed them and asked for an update on the investigation. They responded the same day, saying it was towed correctly and deny my claim to cover the damages of the vehicle, while it was in their care . I dont agree with their decision. Upon filing a complaint with the BBB. I also left a review for Colorado auto recovery and noticed that many other people have had their vehicles damaged and have had bad customer service with no respect to the person or vehicles in their care. They have not taken accountability for their actions and Im asking the Better Business Bureau to help me further look into my right to the repairs for my vehicle from a tow company who is supposed to take care of my car. Please help!
