They charged a refundable $150 deposit for a procedure. I had said procedure, and was told I would be refunded via a check that would arrive in the mail. That was over 8 months ago. The provider hasn't responded to phone calls or emails.Initial Complaint

In September of 2024, I went to The Urology Center of Colorado for a vasectomy. In order to start the process, I had to agree to pay $150 for a deposit. I did. My insurance paid for the entirety of the procedure. It says I may owe $10. After phone calls and emails with the company, Ive been ignored and I helped to get this money back.Initial Complaint

Before my Dec. 27, 2023 appointment, I paid my $10 copay online. At the time of my appointment, I was told I had not, but I showed the receptionist proof on my phone. Since then I have been billed monthly. I have contacted the payment department every month but I have yet to be credited the $10 and every time I call I am told that a supervisor will call me back.No one ever has. I have offered to send them a copy of my bank statement. They don't seem to want it. I would like the $10 credited to my account. Great doctors, but this has gone on too long. Attached is the invoice and a copy of my bank statement with the payment highlighted.Business response

The issue has been resolved. See attached photo. The patient no longer owes the amount and will not receive further statements, unless the patient is seen again in our office. Thank you!Customer response

I have a credit balance with the provider for a very long time and I am unable to get a refund after multiple reminders. I requested my **************** aetna for intervenation and received this reply ************* MEMBER SERVICES 3/15/2024 2:12 PM Hi ****,My name is ******, and I will be assisting you with your claim inquiry.I apologize for the delayed response, as we are experiencing a high volume of requests during this time.I have reached out to the provider at ************** and spoke with *******.She advised me that she shows you have called on Feb 26th for a refund and states it has been put on spreadsheet for the manager to review and approval. Once it is approved, your payment will be refunded. Our apologies for the delay in issuing the refund. TUCC recently outsourced the billing function. During the transition there have been delays in some of our processes. The refund had been issued as of today (4.10.24).Initial Complaint

On July 22, 2022 I went to the Urology Center of Colorado for a vasectomy. Even though my copay was only $15, they had me pay a $100 refundable deposit, saying Id get $85 back after insurance reimbursed them. It is now almost 4 months later and my insurance reimbursed them long ago. I have called and spoken to their finance department dozens of times, each call I was told a different lie about when the deposit would be refunded (itll take about a month after the operation, nothing, called again well do it next month, nothing, called again well do it next week, nothing, called again well do it today, nothing, called again heres my supervisors number, supervisor well make sure that gets sent out to you tonight you get the idea). It became clear to me that they had no intention of refunding my deposit and were merely hoping I would forget about it and leave them alone. Most likely this is a fraud scheme they pull on every client they have and through which they have stolen hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars. Complaint #******** was resolved after I submitted it. The business did not respond on bbb but they did send me a check with the appropriate amount.
