Gallego installed a new boiler in our home. We immediately noticed the strong smell of natural gas inside and outside the home. We had Jamie out to inspect and he said it was installed correctly, but just needed a break-in period. A year later, it had not gone away. We contacted Gallego and he would not respond to us, so we had another company come out to inspect. They said that the boiler should have never been installed in this house because it is the wrong size based on square footage, and the wrong type based on other factors such as elevation and room layout. Additionally, the boiler was badly mis-installed creating both a legal code and safety issue, as our family is regularly breathing in CO2. They said we should replace the boiler, at a cost of $25K or more. This company recommended we first contact Gallego again (in part because Gallego put a sticker on the boiler that says all service should go through them if we don't want to void the warranty). Because Jamie was not responding to our calls, I tried calling from another number and he answered immediately; we scheduled a time for him to come out, but he did not show up. I have since texted and called him a few times, and pleaded for him to at least respond to me, but I get no response. According to online reviews, this seems to be somewhat common. It appears that he knows that the system was not installed correctly and does not want to take responsibility.

Date of initial visit: August 3, 2021 Date of Replacement: August 4, 2021 Date of Leak: August 6, 2021 Amount Paid for services, two installments of $1100.00 (total of $2200). We own and rent a condo in Breckenridge- our guests called us that the water heater was not operational on Aug 3rd.  We called called a few plumbers and Gallegos Mechanical agreed to take a look at the water heater right away.  He reported to us that the water heater was not repairable and needed replacement due to a failed circuit board.  We agreed to have him replace the water heater- he said he could do it within a day.  We paid to have the guests rent a motel room while we waited for the replacement of the water heater. Aug 5th:  Gallegos replaced the water heater, I had a phone conversation with Jamie G******* and the water heater was working properly.  The 2nd payment was made on our credit card. Aug 6th:  We received a call at approximately 5:30 am from our guest that water was pouring through the ceiling of the unit under us.  We promptly called Jamie G******* and he came out to inspect the water heater about 1 hour after the call.  I spoke with Jamie at the condo- he claims it was a defective seal in the water heater and he was able to repair it successfully.  He said he would take care of any damage incurred.   We contacted the owner of the unit below us (Brett Steinbar) and informed him of the situation and that Gallegos Mechanical agreed to pay for any damages.  After the repairs were made, Brett sent Jamie a copy of the invoice and Jamie assured him that a check was in the mail. Dec 3, 2021:  Brett informed us that he has contacted Gallegos multiple times and keeps getting the story that Jamie will take care of it but never does. I called Jamie and spoke with him- he assures me that a check has been sent to Brett. December 17, 2021: Brett informed us that no payment has been made by Gallegos. I informed Brett that I will pay the bill and go after Jamie directly for payment.
