I signed up for a membership with this entity on 10/21/22, with the promotion of the rest of 2022 was free. I was never able to log into the app and track any of my membership information. This club offers the bare minimum in terms of being at fitness center. The trainers push for group or individual training sessions, which I was injured b/c the trainer was pushing for results versus listening to me, as I have shoulder issues. I declined training and any friendliness ended. I was not interested in continuing this membership, and reached out to state I wanted to cancel, left a VM 9/24/23. (VM msgs aren't returned) *******, returned my call on 10/10/23, stating I'd have to come in and complete a form. Then, there was a txt conversation that ended with ******* stating, "I'm sorry you feel that way, have a great day!" ******, left 2 VM msgs after this. Seems they could have communicated better in the past year or when called to cancel my membership. I went to the club Friday 10/13. No one was there b/c no trainers are there after 2pm on Friday. I returned Saturday, and after some waiting, someone came to the office and handed me a clip board with a very extensive form to complete, again, too much burden on the customer. When I returned the form she asked for my key fob without verifying my membership or anything. I asked if I would have access remainder of the month, she said no, I'd receive a refund for any unused days. I dropped my key fob on the desk. I noticed an $85 fee which generated a $32 NSF b/c direct deposit didn't happen until Friday. I called and left a VM-- ******* stated that shouldn't have happened, then called back and said it's b/c I still had months to pay-- this promo appears to be false advertising b/c I was expected to pay for 11/23-12/23, and new membership starts 1/1/24. This is unacceptable and if they had provided good customer service and an honest promotion, none of this would have occurred. I want my money back.
