Had problems with my phone service, called they sent a tech out he heard the problem, unplugged the modem, went outside to box, said everything was saying it was %100., left, did not get the problem fixed. Called back to service ***** they sent another tech out, he did absolutely nothing, said everything was fine, left, still the problem not fixed. Called 3rd time I said to make sure you send someone who can trouble shoot a phone problem, tech came in said it was my cordless phone, need new ones, bought new ones, problem still existed on the new phones. Got on internet talked with someone they said all they could do was send a new tech, I told them this is the last one, if not fixed, I am switching cable company. He came said he was not knowledgeable with phone problems, but changed modem for the second time and ran another new cable line from house to pole, still had issues, he said he exhausted all efforts, he said he spent enough time here, left. I myself unplugged the new phones at night, let my old ones re-charge till morning, well guess what they were working. Got the bill WOW charged me 4 technician fees of $64 dollars($256), I called said I was not paying, they said I had to pay one cause one tech said it was my phone, I explained to him I was talking on my old phones and had returned the new ones, it was not the phone,, they gave me to a supervisor, but he just said the same thing and said I needed to buy the protection plan which is $5 a month. Just would like to know how is it my fault that the equipment from WOW was faulty, I should not have to pay not one of the tech fees. I am looking into new companies now.Review from jose V

Terrible customer service. Lies on referral program. Company makes you beg for what they advertised and want customers to jump through hoops to reject their services.Customer service representatives have little to no English speaking experience. When asked if another language spoken to make communication easier hung up on.Referral program is meant for the referral and the new customer to both receive $100 credit. And so on.Internet is good but customer service is terrible. They owe me $400 on referrals alone, and they want to make you feel like youre in the wrong.Review from Jeremiah L

Totally unreliable internet.Disconnects about 20 times a day.Technician came out and messed with a few things and said it was fixed. I showed him repeatedly that it was continuing to be unstable. He repeatedly said it was fixed though it was not. There is no connection from the modem to the *** which can be checked immediately. There is no docsis status in the modem. All of the docsis logs are filled with critical errors. But the technician says it's fixed.I continue to have partial internet service with it dropping service 20+ times a day.But the technician says it's fixed.SCAM.Review from Ashley H

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Absolutely worst company I have dealt with. Back In January, Wow internet came to our neighborhood and without anyones knowledge, they dug up yards to place high fiber wiring. No one knew who the company was because no one had logos on their trucks. I tried calling both numbers listed on the site to make a formal complaint and they are the same automated message. You cant even get in touch with someone unless you have an account. After contacting the chat message and calling 2 other numbers they gave me, I finally got in touch with someone from billing. It took a few times telling them that I did not have an account nor did I want an account with them. This person gave me the run around saying they had to confirm they had a customer in my area before they could go any further with the complaint. I asked several times why this mattered, I wanted to complain about the mess they left my yard in. No adequate answer was given, but the person assured me that once this was confirmed someone would call me back to listen to my complaint. Guess what? They never called back. My yard was left in a mess and I think Wow should take responsibility. The yard was left uneven, dirt everywhere, the black landscape matting was even still showing through the dirt they did manage to put back, and they just laid our grass right on top of the dirt. Guess what again? It never grew back, so now we have spent more money and time re-sodding our yard. Conclusion-DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, USE THIS COMPANY. From my experience, they only care about getting your money and not the quality of their work or how they treat people.Review from Anthony E

This business needs investigated. They lie. They cheat. They steal. For years they shut off the internet. Every time it's "We don't know, let's send a technician out." We did it, and somehow it was always fixed once they leave but instantly returns a week later. They also force you to keep buying different modems and routers. A company shutting off the internet at the same exact time every single day for 3 months starts to get suspicious. It's never their issue. It's always something on your end lol. Yes, wow, I'm purposely going into my servers to s**** with my internet that I want. It's disgusting. *************Review from Mary G

On May 6 I made a payment to wow. Two days later, they disconnected my services and said the payment was reversed, even though it was removed from my debit card thats an automatic payment through debit card. So I paid the amount again while I disputed the first transaction. I paid the amount again with a different debit card. Theyve turned my Internet off again today and stated that this debit card also reverse the payment. I have statements to show it, and when I asked the lady who I could show it to, or speak to you, she said, whoever answers the phone. I asked, who can I talk to about getting my money back once, the bank dispute is over, because clearly it was taken from my debit card, and she states whoever answers the phone for you my services have been canceled, and I hope that nobody else will ever use them. They havent even offered any compensation, even though they received 300 bucks since May 6.Review from Elijah B

This business should not exist. They are stealing customers money . They do not work with their customers on payment arrangements. The internet company claims it has high speed but that is false and you can not even use multiple tvs in the wifi at once . Im not even getting a full service b it they want they full price for their issues . **************** is garbage . Over charging for data and connectivity. Over charge for connection fees . Bills hit the account faster than an individual can get paid . You can literally pay them in full and its like its due immediately again the following week . That makes no sense . The Managers do not help individuals. reps dont even want to let you speak to a manager. The people who come out to fix issues never actually fix anything lol the products they use are so cheap . This company is overall trashhh !!!!!! I deserve every ***** back for all that I have endured dealing with this trash business!!!!!! How you not care about your customers? Extra 22 dollar fees for no reason . **** please bankrupt them !Review from Sarah M

We have been in a long standing dispute with WOW for "borrowed equipment" that we never had. My husband works in IT and we have owned business grade equipment for years. If they had for some reason sent us the equipment, we would have happily send it back. As soon as the bill came, we disputed it. They told me on multiple occasions that the bill had been settled and they also had no record of the "borrowed equipment" or any additional information on what that equipment may have been. Although they assured me the bill had been settled, it had not. Finally, I disputed it through Discover. WOW never replied to the claim. A month or so after the dispute, I was contacted by a bill collector. I've disputed this claim more times than I can count and now the collector claims it is for a "service charge". I sent them the bills and they said that WOW couldn't possibly send them incorrect information and I was in the wrong. It's been over a year later, and it's still not resolved. The customer service experience has been a nightmare and this company does not follow through. This was an incredible disappointment.Review from Brandon H

I've never opened a complaint like this before, but I've also never been deliberately misled by a company before.Last year, I saw competitors were moving into my area offering a good deal. I also received a flyer from WOW offering new customers gift cards for getting gigabit internet. I called WOW to cancel my service, as the other offers were competitive. The *** at the time told me that I could get the new customer bonus of a gift card if I upgraded my internet to gigabit. Sounded like a good deal at the time.I noticed I still hadn't received any email about the gift card, so I contacted WOW to get more information. I was simply told that they don't offer the promo bonuses to existing customers, and the *** at the beginning must have been mistaken. Sounds like their retention department is willing to extend offers that their company can't actually extend. The internet itself is fine, but I feel deliberately misled to keep me as a customer.Review from Doug G

I canceled services on March 28th, and also revoked autopay. The company stated that I would be receiving a new bill with a prorated amount due to cancelling service. On April 2nd the company used the revoked autopay to still remove money from my bank account. When I contacted the company a representative told me that it would take 21 business days for issuing a refund which is terrible business practices when they will take money immediately but do not want to issue a refund in a timely manner. The representative told me if I do not wish to wait the 21 days to call my bank to dispute the charge. The internet service constantly goes out with zero communication from the company about when services will be restored
