I recently rented a small storage unit at **** Valley Outdoor Storage. Loaded the unit up with a bunch of household goods and tools that weren't able tp fit in my apartment. On July 10, 2023 I was admimtted to the hospital for health concerns and spent the next three days there. When I got discharged I got home a found I had an email from DVOS stating that my lease had been terminated and that I needed to schedule a time with the office to get my belongings out. No explantation was given as to why I was being kicked out. The laws in ** require a reason be given, and sent via certified letter that states the reason for eviction, and how long a renter has to vacate the unit. Neither of which were on the email or the non-existent certfied letter. The very next day I was sent an email that said "Thank you for renting from us, you have moved out" Which I took to mean that they had cleaned out the unit before I was even given a chance to do it myself. This was confirmed by the fact that the same unit had been posted on their website as "available" that same day. So in a 24 hour period of time they terminated my lease and removed my beloongings without cause and without allowing me to get my belongings. I feel they basically robbed me for everything that was in the unit. Unfortunately the cost to take them to court is much higher than the cost of what they stole. They've done this to other people as well from what Ive been told. Save yourself the trouble and dont rent from that. Not even the 24 hour access makes up for their thievery
