    We booked this place for a much needed break. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Our room was along the river. My husband had ordered roses as a surprise for me, for which we never received. This was an additional charge. The room was outdated, and I can accept that; however, the sheet on the bed was torn and stained. There was also a pillow case that had stains on it that you could clearly see that looked like blood. I used a black light to check the rest of the linens as well. When I called for replacements, I was sent a text and was told they were clean and the person who does the rooms does not live in ***************. We did not have extra funds to go somewhere else. It was a 3 hour drive to get here. When we checked out I took the linens to the office and showed them to the gentleman who checked us in. I told him what had happened. He stated no staff is on the premisis after 5pm. I told him how disappointed we were for the amount of money we spent. He could have cared less. And insinuating that we lied about the flowers? They were never there. Why would you treat someone like that and take their hard earned money? We put our trust in getting a quality product and service and they did not deliver. How sad, because *************** use to be a great place to visit.

    I am very aware of this guest. I can only write that as a business owner for over 40 years, we will periodically have a guest that will do anything to create some drama with the end result that they want all of their money back. This is such a guest. It is highly unfortunate that we have this class of people living amongst us but we do. If you are a business own here in ***************, ********, then you know exactly what I am writing about. This guess just wants to create drama in an attempt to get their money back, and (2) try their very best to keep other guests away. It is sad, but welcome to the REAL-WORLD businesses like mine have to live and work in.
