On February 9, 20**, my husband and I stayed at Valhalla Resort Cabin #**. In the afternoon, we discovered our hot water was not working. We contacted the after hours who sent their handy man, who then came by the cabin and “fixed” the water heater. The next morning, and for the following 2 days, we had no hot water. The temperature in Estes Park was in the single digits those days. They eventually offered to switch cabins in the middle of the night during a snow storm. We packed our things and moved the following morning. The cabin they moved us to (#**) was smaller than the one we initially booked, cheaper, had no privacy/view compared to the one we booked and payed for. The owner waited until we were home to contact us and has not made this situation right. She has no care that the cabin had no hot water (even though legally, landlords are required to provide hot water within 24 hours in the state of Colorado), and has unapologetically said that the cabin we got moved to was an “upgrade” even though it is 45% smaller.
