My husband and I checked into the Heritage Inn on Friday May 13, 2022. After awhile we complained about the smell of marijuana in the room and hallways. The manager "*****" said she didn't smell it. On the 14th, we again smelled it strongly, ****** "*****" said something to another guest and the smell went away. On May 15th, we were woken to the smell being so bad we had to leave our room. The desk clerk said that marijuana is legal in the state and there is nothing we can do. We sat in the parking lot for four hours waiting for ***** to come downstairs so we could check out. She never came down. During my research for ******** law on the matter, it is illegal to smoke in a motel or public place. It also violates ********** Clean Air Act. Statue *********. This is a very unhealthy establishment and the state/county should step in and do something. While we understand some people have a Municipal use for it, but as much that is smoked here is probably illegal, especially when guest are standing outside their rooms and blowing into their dogs faces etc while getting drunk. When a guest complains about the smell and how it is giving them a headache, they shouldn't be told to put a towel under their door to block it. I'm assuming we were supposed to just be held hostage by pot smokers? I would like for the ***** to contact us, I would like a refund for our entire stay, not the night we didn't stay.
