On August 7, 2023, Better Business Bureau contacted Osmosis, LLC concerning the following advertising claims found on its website, https://osmosisbeauty.com/:

- "Each formula combines clinically proven, patented ingredients and high-potency, targeted nutrients to uniquely transform and restore the skin to its true health and vitality." BBB could not locate information about the clinical trials for this product. 

- "Our clean, non-toxic skincare is founded on medically developed, clinically validated, and consumer-proven results that are patented, tested, and trusted. Each of our innovative products is formulated to help create real, visible change in the skin. We treat the most challenging skin conditions that other brands can't, including sebaceous hyperplasia, cystic acne, eczema, psoriasis, melasma, skin tags, enlarged pores, blackheads, acne scarring, age spots, and more." BBB could not locate information about the clinical trials for this product. 

-"You won't find artificial colors or fragrances; just patented, exclusive ingredients that deliver real results." 

- "Osmosis Beauty has a remarkable collection of patented and exclusive ingredients that cannot be found elsewhere. This is what separates our results from other brands. These patented and exclusive ingredient systems include our liposomal delivery system, zinc finger technology, and growth factors." 

- "Our rejuvenating lifestyle elixirs and natural supplements were inspired by the skin-body connection and are formulated to bring balance and help restore health and overall well-being to the entire body." 

- "Free yourself from sore, stiff joints with our Joint Relief Elixir! This supplement supports every joint in your body with its frequency enhanced H2O and edible 24-karat gold." 

- "This supplement is a must for flawless skin and healthy digestion. Skin Perfection contains edible 24-karat gold, and our exclusive, clinically proven technology that targets the source of redness, inflammation, and blemishes." 

- "Enjoy the sunshine guilt-free with enhanced protection that's non-toxic and reef-safe. Sun Defense contains a clinically proven formula that helps reduce damage related to UV exposure and enhances the protective tan your body naturally creates without blocking the health benefits of Vitamin D. Clinically proven to boost the body's natural tanning response* May be used alone or with topical sun protection*" 

- https://osmosisbeauty.com/pages/clinicals displays clinical study results without information about the study itself. 

- BBB could not locate information about the mentioned clinical trials or the patented ingredients for these products on the company's website.   

- Testimonials. The business website only displays success stories. Consumers are incentivized to share positive stories.     

Advertisements should be truthful, sincere offers to sell. Advertisers have a responsibility to have substantiation for all claims made and should be able to provide that substantiation upon request. All advertising that may mislead or deceive consumers should be avoided.   

Claims relating to performance and results should be backed up by reliable evidence. 

Advertisers should ensure that testimonials and endorsements are not misleading and represent the current opinion of the endorser. A consumer endorser’s experience should reflect what users generally achieve unless there is a clear and conspicuous disclosure of what the expected results will be.   Advertisers should not include claims in testimonials that they themselves cannot make and support. 

Despite written requests, as of September 15, 2023, Osmosis, LLC has not responded to BBB’s request.
