On September 9, 2023 I brought my dog to tendercare for a diagnosis and treatment for extreme lethargy and obvious discomfort that began in August and wasnt going away on its own. I requested a heart worm and blood test and reported that he was extremely tired and appeared to be uncomfortable. The heart worm test was negative. His red blood cells were high, among other test results - and they ignored it. They passed off his abnormal blood test as dehydration instead of comparing the clinical signs with his diagnostics. They told me that my 9 year old, perfectly in shape dog, had osteoarthritis. They prescribed 1 week of pain medicine and I returned to tender care 1 week later for a recheck because my dog continued to get worse. They prescribed the same medicine, this time for two weeks, and gave me the same diagnosis while offering no other treatment other than telling me I couldnt afford an MRI that I inquired about. They never told me the price of the **** just that it was expensive and according to their own judgment, out of my price range. I inquired about acupuncture as a treatment option which they offer at their clinic and recommended for the future. Two weeks later, the medicine ran out and my dog was in even worse condition. I scheduled an appointment for acupuncture and *** reassured me that he had arthritis and that a brand new drug called Librela would be approved in the ************* soon - I should wait for it to become available. At this appointment, I was still charged for the acupuncture that was never performed. *** suggested 4 weeks of pain medicine and more rest. After 2 weeks, I took him somewhere else for a CT scan - he had cancer in every tissue in his body so widespread that he had multiple blood clots and could no longer walk, he was no longer a candidate for treatment. *** wasted 6 weeks of my time, let my dog suffer and happily accepted thousands of dollars from me. I was never offered an apology or explanation for the negligence.
