      My son took his 2011 ***** Pilot in for an oil change on 11/13/2021 The Valvoline shop replaced the Oil Drain Plug and Gasket - No reason given. My son drove the car for a couple of weeks until approx 11/27/2021. He had to park it because it stalled on him and was making a bad sound. He did not drive it again until he tried to drive it to ******* ***** ********** to see what was wrong. The car stalled on him and he had to get a tow to the dealership. The dealer ship drained the oil pan and found metal shards in the oil and determined the installing of the oversized drain plug from the Valvoline shop had caused the meatal shards in the oil pan that had run through the engine. The engine was ruined after only 218 miles since the oil change. The ***** Dealership determined the engine was done and could be replaced with a similar mileage one for a little less than $8000. I called the Valvoline manager Corey. He denied they had any responsibility. I called the customer service line. Harold J******, the area manager called me on March 12 and said he would talk to his manager. I emailed Mr J****** the paperwork from both the Valvoline Shop and ******* ***** ********** as well as photos of the metal shards. He e-mailed them to his boss soon after. I have emailed a few attempts to communicate and have called a few times since. There has been no further attempts to return my call or emails.

      Good Morning,
      I have received the BBB dispute and still stand by our decision to deny this claim as simply replacing a drain plug does not create metal shavings in the engine oil.  It is a very simple replacement.  Thank you for your attention in this matter.

      on 9-15-2021 I went to this Business for a service/oil and filter change on my 2007 ****** Legacy. Corey waited on me and there was no other customer at this business. I gave him my information and he started the service immediately. During the service I ask him what brand of filter that they were using and he said Valvoline. When the service was completed, I said thanks and gave him a $5.00 tip to which he said thanks it has been tough during Covid times. I have noticed drops of oil on my garage floor recently so I went under the car last weekend to check. What I noticed was the writing on the filter said 11/11/20 and was a Purolator filter from the previous service to which I still have the receipt. So I went to the Business a few days later and Corey was there. I told him about the problem and he said he could not do anything. I ask him for the manager and he said that he was. I ask for the regional manager and he said he was not allowed to give out the number. No filter/leaking
