      June 28, 2021 - My husband and I decided to buy a beef quarter from Heather S*******, owner of Homestead Ranch LLC, at the agreed upon price of $6.26/lb. She said the quarter would weigh about 130 lbs. July 1 - Heather delivered the packages of frozen beef. She said the total weight was a little over 130 pounds, adding that she and her husband counted it twice. We took her at her word and gave her a check for $825. After organizing the cuts for storage, I decided to check the total weight. It was actually 115.23 lbs. This should have cost $721. I asked Heather to stop by and do a recount with us. We tried unsuccessfully to coordinate our schedules multiple times over the next few weeks. July 27 - She texted an offer which, for us, was not practical. We sent a counter offer. No response. August 1 - I texted we need closure and to pls either mail us a check for $104 ($103.66) or drop off the counter offer. No response to date. Texts due to her poor phone reception.

      We have been in business for 8 years and we have always tried to exceed the customers satisfaction and have put our product in high standards as well.  We did not have intent to short this customer on their order as we counted this order on multiple occasions and came up with 132 lb but rounded it to the nearest even number.  She reached out and said that the total was only 97 lbs approx.  I asked her to recount because that was way off from the amount that was received. They came up with two other totals before this final number, she asked for me to come double count and as she stated we could not link up due to our schedules conflicting. I have not received a counter offer from the original to try and make it right, so for that I apologize. I would like to take care of this matter immediately so we have another satisfied customer, I will send a check by certified mail so there is no mistake of it getting lost.  I can carbon copy the BBB if that is what is needed to resolve this matter and move forward.

      Better Business Bureau:

      A check by certified mail, as stated, for the full amount would be appreciated. We will notify the BBB when the check has cleared.
