Had my son's car towed over there since Sept, 2023 I was speaking with several managers, they stated the ones that did the paperwork for my son were not there anymore then I started speaking with mechanic manager ismael, because one was sick and took 30 days off, Bob then I was speaking with Ruben their mechanic and he wanted to have me send over our extended warranty so I did he sent it over and it got denied after that he had me ask the company's to change there documentation so it would pass on another extended warranty we purchased, he was commiting fraud, then wanted me to charge me to take the engine out because he told us it was already blown, nothing happened so I tried to speak again with managers and one surpriseally shows up, Allison stated the guys there at off road don't like her and I'll deal with her well I've been waiting and she stated she would get a engine for my son's car less than 9400 that Ruben(mechanic wanted to charge us) and it was going to be 6400 at that' time my son doesn't have the money and Allison stated for my son or me to fill out applications for different loan places (again not for vehicles) they are for rims so she can use them to pass to purchase A engine, again Fraud, I have been reaching out to Allison and getting the run around of their looking into a engine well nothing has happened the car is sitting at the car lot since Sept 2023 and their refusing to speak with us and I tried calling again and spoke with a Josh and he stated they can't talk to me because I hired a attorney which is a lie so my son has paid every month off $381 car payment = $2,286 plus $212 full coverage insurance $1,272 and over $700 in towing fees to our house to their shop in fort lupton total of car n insurance $3558 since Sept not including the towing fees also been leaving messages for the owner Adam landkammer and they refuse to return calls or fix a car that was already damaged before when my son purchased and took it back have message n records

I bought a 2004 Nissan Xterra from them. I made it 10 miles before it overheated. They left the lower radiator hose loose. I put antifreeze in it and it overheated again. They towed it to their shop. I picked up a week later. Apparently, they must have cleared the check engine light without fixing the problem. Most likely to fool the customer into buying what would appear to be a mechanically sound vehicle. But, once the computer cycled the check engine light came on rendering the vehicle unable to pass emissions with a P0420 code. I informed the dealership and they told me to bring it up and they would check it out. They diagnosed a bad catalytic converter and told me they would order a new one. But, I would have to leave the vehicle there for a day when the part came in. That was 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard back. I have the vehicle but can't register it until it can pass emissions. Apparently, Off-Road Automotive has a habit of selling people cars with faulty emissions systems. All they have to do is clear the code.

      Update:

Approximately , 10 minutes after I sent the complaint, I got a call to inform me that the Catalytic Converter had been delivered.

I dropped the vehicle off this evening. (12/21/23)

Will update further when they finish the repair.

in Aug 2022, I bought a 2012 Dodge Journey from Off Road. Sept 6th the car started to over heat, took it in and they told me they replaced, the water pump, thermostat and had my car for 2.5 months I got my car back in Nov 2022. mind you paying the car and insurance the whole time. Dec 2022 the car over heated again they replace the thermostat again. Feb 10th the car transmission went out completely and even with the warranty I was told I needed to pay 2k for all the parts and work they would have to do to keep the warranty valid. I didn't get my car back till the end of April again making all the payments and insurance. They were suppose to replace the transmission and everything along that line. when I got the car back it was acting funny so i took in back in less then a 15 hrs later. they told me it was a o2 sensor and had my pick up the car a day later. My husband looked at it and seen that there was a sensor that was not connected, thought that might fix the problem. once I turn on the AC that should have been recharged and put back right is not charged and the condenser inst even attached to the firewall and it just dangling there. the car completely stopped starting June 9th, 2023 we were told that the starter went out and the flex plate and given another high total to come up with to fix my car. my husband told him we would come empty it and they could keep it at this point. June 13th i went to go get our things out of the car and Bob told me it was fixed and would run. June 18th the car no longer runs and the transmission not longer engages. The car has been in the shop more then I have had it. I have made my payments and p[aid my insurance for them to have the car and me to rent a car more often then not. We spent extra money to get the warranty and they dont seem to like to do that work or do it right. every time i take the car to them they might fix he problem but they seem to fix half of it. I would like a car that works that I pay for monthly.

Response to Jessica Spindle's complaint. On 01/23/2023 we replaced a thermostat in the 2012 Dodge Journey purchased on 08/30/2022. The dealership did the work at no charge almost 5 months after the purchase date. On 02/17/2023 Jessica called and told me that the Vehicle was having transmission problems. She brought the vehicle in and we filed a claim under the extended warranty they purchased at the time of sale. The insurance company approved $3000.00 for the repair. The insurance company purchased a used transmission at a cost of $2300.00 and the transmission has a 12 month 12000 mile warranty from the supplier. I worked with the Spindle's to make the repair fit their budget. The paid an additional $1229.87 towards the repair bill and the dealership covered the remaining charges. On June 9th 2023 Jessica called me and stated the car would not start and the starter was making a noise. I had the vehicle to the dealership at no charge to Jessica. We inspected the vehicle and found that the starter had failed and did damage to the flex plate. I relayed the information to Jessica. The repair would have cost 2172.95 for the complete repair including labor. I received a call from Brian Spindle a short time later. He was very upset and was screaming at me and using foul language. The phone call was ended at this point by me. Jessica called me back and told me they were going to just give the car back to the bank and she would be up to retrieve her belongings. I explained to her that giving it back to the bank was not in their best interest. I installed the starter from the Spindle's at no charge. When they came to pick up their belongings the next day I explained the the car would start and run, but it would make noise upon start up. They took the car and left. That was the last I have heard from them. I will not work on the vehicle again because of Brian Spindle's actions during this situation. I believe we have gone above and beyond for these folks.

      Complaint: 20206240

I am rejecting this response because:nothing was fix right and every time they fixed something I got to use the vehicle for less then half the time I have owned it, dude to there crappy work or just not able to keep a mechanic at all. They Transmission is not working again, and some how that is not the problem of someone that just put in a new one? I paid for a WARRANTY TO NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS.  They have seriously had the car more then I have, while I have made my payments and kept insurance to basically have my car in their shop on or the side of the road. It has not even been a year sense we bought the car and has cost me more then it ever should. Between rental cars, towing, down payments, extra finainiacing for warrant, draining my saving to pay for the transmission. So the fact they the shop and dealership refuse to even try to make this right, show their level of integrity that this business truly has. I walked in and bought a $7,500 car with 2,500 warranty and have sense paid over $5,000 to tow the car, fix the car and have a car rental car to get to work to pay for the car in their shop most the time. I reject the response for belittling customers and not fixing a car under warranty appropriately where it would not need work the next day. They are also missing the many times I brought it in saying something is wring and they blew me off till became a larger problem. Also was the warranty we bought used up by the transmission alone? All the other work that was done prior was not apart of the warranty as it was less then a week after we bought the car. The sold me a LEMON, KNEW IT < KNOW IT AND WANT ME AND THE CAR GONE> AFTER TAKING MY MONEY AND LAUGHING>    Jessica Spindle

In response to Mr. Tibbs Complaint. The miles were right on all the paperwork he signed. The Carfax report shows on 11/21/2021 the miles listed from the Auto Auction were 185347. On 03/09/2022 that the miles list on Carfax  were 43827. Those miles were from a 2017 Toyota Tacoma the Coyote Motors in Boulder CO. was servicing at the same time as they were servicing this Jeep for us. They input the VIN number as 1J4FA24117L135089 from our Jeep on the service ticket for the Tacoma. They made the same mistake on 09/15/2022 listing the miles on the Tacoma as 50714 and VIN number as 1J4FA24117L135089. I have uploaded the inspection reports from Carfax on these two inspection reports from Coyote Motors in Boulder CO. On 09/19/2022, Mr. Tibbs purchased the Vehicle from Off-Road Automotive with the miles listed at 185666. Mr. Tibbs at that time signed a Colorado Dealers Bill of Sale listing the miles of 185666 as true and accurate and a Buyers Order from Off-Road Automotive listing the miles as 185666. 09/19/2022. On 09/19/2022 ownership of the vehicle was transferred from Off-Road Automotive to Mr. Tibbs AS IS with all faults as listed on the Federal Buyers Guide Mr. Tibbs also signed at the time of sale. On 09/21/2022 the vehicle was emission tested by Colorado Air Care with the miles listed as 185748 and the vehicle passed. With the emission completed, Off-Road Automotive is no longer responsible for any repairs to vehicle. I would be happy to help Mr. Tibbs with any current or future repairs at my internal cost on parts and labor.

I purchased a 2015 **** Grand Cherokee on 9/24/22 from Off-Road automotive. The vehicle broke down on 12/16/22. It was not in my procession for more than 3 months when it broke down. As I didn't have the money to get the vehicle inspected and I had a family member that was sick so my mind was elsewhere but I left the car parked in the driveway for about 3 1/2 full months(End Dec 22,Jan, Feb,March 23) without using it except to turn on. I finally managed to go Off-Road Automotive because it was my husbands idea. The off-road automotive mechanic inspected it on 3/9/23 and gave me 2 quotes of about 2-4k each option. My husband managed to get in contact with the sales rep and he said he might be able to help get a payment arrangement for the repairs BUT this was verbal between my husband and Ruben, the sales rep and I wasn't present at the time. And, YES my husband did talk to Ruben because a few hours after that conversation, the mechanic CALLED ME to schedule an inspection appointment. But, nobody knew about this verbal conversation of the payment arrangement at off road automotive when I mentioned it to the mechanic. Well, the legal forms that I signed state that I do not have warranty so this dealership is legally covered!! I understand that very vehicle, whether used or new, brakes down sooner or later but my issue and concern is that I didn't even use it for a couple of months or off road automotive didn't even allow me a full 1 year with it and I was barely on my 2nd bank payment! I even lost my promotion of the ****** XM radio that was extended to March 15, 2023 as I could NOT use the vehicle for more than 3 months! I am extremely heartbroken as the vehicle is NOT functioning and yet, I still have to pay the monthly payment to the bank! I do love the **** but it seems that Off-Road Automotive just fixes vehicles just enough to get them sold and off their lot! I feel like the **** that I was sold was faulty, they fixed it just barely enough to be sold to me

Hello Clay, I have reached out the ****** and left a voice message. I want to get the **** back in and take a look at to find out what it needs to repair it. In retrospect, the service manager that was speaking to ****** and her husband has left our employ. I was not aware of this situation until today. I will update you once I know better what repairs are needed with the Jeep.
