      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

If they so believed there statement why would they have torn the inside of the van to attempt to find the problem. Why is the normal aux wire plug not burnt like the towing wires? There test instrument was never used. Andy checked the fuse on each device himself there was not 1 blown fuses. Paid in cash and did not receive a receipt

      Regards,

Everything we have was done to the Customers request. Installation was per instructions and we had the vehicle out front of our shop for 30 minutes running with no problems. When the vehicle was pulled apart it was to find where the problem lye when he returned the same day and also next day. We told the customer we would help him install the new parts but he had to find the parts himself. Andy had offered to donate his time do to customers disability. The customer was shown the problems and they were not do to us.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

      complaint #********
Let’s start from the beginning 2000 Astro Van VIN ****************** w/Tow Package from the Factory. Tim drilled a hole to run the wire to the underside. Tim mounted the 7 pin hookup for the first time, tried to show the wiring diagram did not take a look and used a handmade device. Andy proceeds to mount and hookup Hays brake controller, showed Andy that the controller needed to be hooked up in the engine compartment with a 30 amp reset fuse as per instructions. Instead he ignored the wiring instructions and wired to the below dash fuse system and used no fused protection. At that point the Headlights and tail light would not turn off. Tim cut the wires from the 7 pin for the first time headlights and taillight still would not turn off. The battery was connected during the complete wiring of the 7 pin and the Hays brake controller. Andy pulled wires from the brake controller. No effect on the headlight s or tail light still on and would not turn off. I again showed the wiring diagrams to both, Andy and Tim again ignoring both the 7 pin wiring and the Hays brake controller wiring diagram. The attempt to hookup the 7 pin and the Hays brake controller under the dash fuse box not the engine compartment with a resettable fuse as per instructions, due to current required by the brake system. Tim again for the second time cut the wires to the 7 Pin and the Headlight and taillights would continue to be on and would not turn off even with the key out of the ignition. Paid and left the shop drove to Brush to charge up the battery upon the return trip with my fused battery and inverter system hookup to the factory AUX plug and noticed a  smell on the opposite side of the rear of the Astro Van were the 7 pin was wired in. upon mentioning the smell and smoke. Andy immediately said that my fused batteries and inverter was the problem. Andy checked the fuses and both 15 amp were intact NO BLOWN FUSE ANDY stopped the acquisitions and Tim cut the 7 pin connector for the third time and Andy pulled the wiring from the hays brake controller. The smell of burnt wiring was very distinct. Made arrangements with Andy and Tim to return in the morning to attempt to solve the wiring problem. Stayed at the Rodeway Inn and disconnected the battery so it would start Headlight and taillights were off.
Next morning connected the battery and the Astro Van started with no Headlight or Taillights on arrived at the shop and the headlights and tail light would not go off. Andy discounted the battery so the headlights and taillight were off. Proceeded to disassembly the inside of the Astro van and discovered the wiring harness was melted together from front of the vehicle to back were the 7 pin is wired removed fuses from the disassembled engine compartment  fuse box and told me that the wiring from the front to the back was burnt and needed replaced they contacted local junk yards and no luck on obtaining parts needed. A new 1 from GM was 900 dollars. From the pictures the AUX wiring and plug have no damage or melting from front to back of the vehicle Period. Only the Tow Package wiring has melted wires the Picture show this and are the only melted and damaged wires.

Andy R******** and Tim R******** look at the wiring and the pictures and it show this. The Astro van was towed and left with the driver’s window open and as the picture show the inside was left the way Andy and Tim left it Disassembled on the side of their building. This is the way they will treat you damaged vehicle that they damaged. Fix the wiring problem no one else caused the problem but your company 5 Star Truck and Trailer Repair. The only acquisitions were from 5 Star Truck and Trailer Repair.
Aux plug wiring were is the burnt wire

Tow package wiring notice burnt wires
No burnt AUX wire zoomed in

The pictures and wiring diagrams and this statement will appear on every Facebook group discussing RV of any type, which is in the hundreds it is up to you.
