On 8/15/23 we Arrived 10 minutes early at Verve showed my daughters hair to the stylist at the counter and while in the chair. Told them TWICE that her hair is hard to pull the color out and she had used boxed color last November. Showed a picture of a rooted blonde and stylist said she could not do it, another stylist would have to do that. Showed stylists another pic. of ****** highlights she agreed, gave a price of $185 and told it would be more ***** than blonde. Daughter agreed to it after over 3 hours I looked at her wet hair and stated this is not chunky highlights. Stylist brushed out the wet hair(which they denied). I then said we had to go and said " well I guess I just wasted over $200"! I raised my voice but at no time did I scream as they stated I had. Before leaving I said if my daughters hair dries, and I am incorrect and it is in fact, a chunky highlight, I will personally apologize, and left with wet hair. Next day 8/16/23 I called told them I wanted $100 back, keep the rest for the stylists time and materials or I will picket their establishment, notify the BBB, and list my reviews. Ultimately I was hung up on.About an hour later I went to Verve to speak to the owner, who said she could hear me screaming on the phone. I have been in retail management for over 30 years screaming will get you nowhere, profanity nowhere, I simply stated the facts and wanted a resolution I was laughed at and told I should've stayed longer yesterday so they could have tried to fix it after 3 1/2 hours (5:15pm). My daughter has her hair professionally done every year before school, for 9 years. I know what to expect.I have a family to go home to take of, I'm not spending another 2-3 hours to fix something ( that they said today can't be done because she used a box color in November and ITS PERMANENT I explained that it depends upon what kind of boxed color not all box color last forever. I gave them my daughters hair history, and they still proceeded.
