When I was researching smokeless firepits, I was looking at, *****, **** and Entrada. The main reason I went with Entrada was the color choices that would compliment our pool area. On their website in Febuary 2022, they advertised a ceramic coating that when heated would bake on the steel and give a great appearance. The said "Why buy a firepit that looks like rust (Patina)". Which I agreed, I didn't want a firepit that looked rusty, not for over $2000. So, I contacted Michael and discussed this and told him where I lived. He was in the process of building a bigger pit that I was interested in and said he would make me one. I have all the emails if needed. He asked me what color, he agreed if I sent pics and was the first to buy, he would discount the pit. So, I choose Titainum Blue and he began to build it. I paid $1694.05 on Feburary 8th, received it 10 Days later which I thought was very quick for a custom built firepit. But I was very excited and started using it the day I got it to bake in the ceramic as I was told. Four days later on 2/22, the lid and revets started to rust, i sent him pics and he replied "I'm sorry to hear this, I am wondering if it is from being so close to the Ocean? Seems like it is just surface rust on the areas that the coating was not able to reach. If it were me, a little spray of WD-40 should penetrate and help coat that metal." This made me very upset since the point of going with Entrada was to have a pit that wouldn't be rust color. But, since it was not very noticable from a distance with WD-40, I decided to move on until it got worse and worse. In May 2022, I notice the rust was everywhere, covering about 25%, I sent pictures to Michael and got no response. This was 5/6, I sent two more email on 5/11 and 5/12. No Response. I went on his website and noticed that he doesn't offer ceramic coating anymore and basically offers the same as *****. Obviously that product that he sold me failed and I would like him to own up to it.
