This kennel is constructed in a way that allows dogs the ability to escape. My two dogs went missing from the kennel at approximately 7:30 am on Sunday, 8/14. The owner called me at 8:09 am. She stated she thinks they went over the fence in the back corner where there is a ledge dogs can get on, and subsequently climb or jump their fence. After numerous social media posts, hanging flyers and people searching, it was uncovered they were seen running loose just an hour after I dropped them off Saturday, 8/13 in the evening, by several people. They did not call me until the next morning! Fortunately, I found them both (miraculously they were still together), Sunday, 8/14 about 9 pm. After reading more reviews, I discovered another dog was allowed to escape previously; unfortunately broke its leg, which had to be amputated! Not only is it imperative they erect a taller fence and ensure no structures touch the fence that can allow dogs to get over, but they need enough staff that eyes are on all dogs at all times. My dogs allegedly cleared the fence unwitnessed, which is unacceptable. There also should be cameras installed that view all play areas and all kennel stalls.

It is true this woman's dogs jumped the fence. She certified on our contract that they wouldn't. The only way out of any of our yards is for a dog to jump the fence. At no time do we allow dogs to escape. Safety of all dogs is our #1 priority but if a dog jumps the fence, it is out of our control. However, we got a search party together and started looking for them, contacted animal control and also the local animal shelter. Years ago, a dog jumped our fence, this is true. Where this woman is completely wrong is that animal control witnessed that dog jump into a yard a few hours later, got hung up on the fence and broke its leg. This did not happen at our facility. This woman is doing her best at a smear campaign because her dogs jumped the fence. We did not see her dogs go over so there are a lot of assumptions on how /where they got out. As soon as they were not seen in the yard, we started looking for them. She says she has witnesses saying they were seen the night before and we have also been contacted about them being seen after she left the state. People want to help and seeing loose dogs pulls at our emotions and they get reported. Before she found her dogs, this woman said she was scammed by someone claiming to have found them. Something to think about. We are 100% compliant with all PACFA requirements including staffing and also with zoning laws, which obviously she knows nothing about. When she is the owner of a dog business then she can educate herself on things she knows nothing about. We are extremely sorry her dogs jumped the fence. We are elated she was reunited with them. We hope she'll tell the next facility they are fence jumpers so other measures can be taken to avoid this happening in the future. It was understandable that she was upset, we were as well, but screaming obscenities and verbally assaulting an underage employee was unacceptable and may result in future problems for this woman. Libelous remarks and pictures are also being considered by our legal staff. Dogs can and do things we would never imagine. This is part of animal behavior and is what happened here. The owner is as much to blame as we are for her dogs jumping the fence. In other words, there is no blame to be had. They jumped the fence; they were not thrown over it. We're scratching our heads as to why she's started this smear campaign. Maybe this is just how she spends her time.

My hope is that the owner take accountability and make the necessary changes so dogs can't escape and get hurt or worse. My dogs have never jumped nor attempted to jump at previous kennels with 6' fenced enclosures. Never the less, its the adjacent retaining wall they got up on which allowed them to then scale the remaining feet of the fence. I posted a picture of the back of the fence where my dogs would have landed. I removed it immediately after receiving a text from the owner stating it wasn't their property. Exercising my due diligence leaving my review based on my experience and observation is not smearing. Thanks to the gentleman who witnessed my dogs, their location and their behaviors, both the night I dropped them off and the next morning, I found them safe. I have never received any contact from anyone stating my dogs were seen after I found them. I would appreciate video footage or proof from the kennel that they were, in fact, safe inside all night, as was the expectation. That would make this ordeal a bit easier. Regardless of whether the kennel passes inspection or not, in my heart of hearts, people need to know there is a potential their dogs can escape unless necessary changes are made. Maybe CO. inspection guidelines need to be revisited. As far as trying to deface me in the reply, that is highly unprofessional. Anyone who knows me will bear witness to my integrity and charecter. Of course I was distraught and shocked after receiving such inconceivable news. An expletive was used when referring to the wall. In no way did I scream or verbally assault anyone. On the contrary, I told the employee I didn't blame her and knew it wasn't her fault. I would hope my calm and reserved demeanor, albeit profoundly somber and sad, would be appreciated given these horrific circumstances that could have been cataclysmically worse.
