We gave A-1 Roofing owner, Wade H****** a $2,500 deposit to roof our condo on May 20th. Our check was cashed immediately. He never showed up to roof our home so on June10th we asked for our money back he said he was having trouble getting shingles but we talked to 5 other roofing companies that had no trouble getting supplies. June 20th again asked for return of our deposit and he said he would deliver it to us on June 24th. Nothing. July 1st called left messages. July 14th we were told a check was being mailed to us that day. Still nothing. I do not have supporting documents in this computer but I can send them if they are needed.Initial Complaint

I'm completing this for my mom and dad who in March of 2022 hired Wade and A-1 to do their roof. They were quoted $30,000 to do their roof. Which my parents agreed to because they have a victorian home with multiple slopes. The following is a list of just a few of the problems they have had since March. It's important to note that this job is still not complete and as of today, June 1, 2022, none of the crew has been back to finish the job since May 9th, 2022. -roof is leaking and has caused drywall damage to the inside of the home in at least 3 locations because it hasnt been finished or properly put up/secured. - my parents have two outside bathrooms on the property that they allowed the workers to use. They left them disgusting for my mother to clean. Urine all over the toilets, paper towels on the ground and dirt from their boots all over. -nails EVERYWHERE! -workers do not wear required safety equipment. Two have fallen already. One into a mature pine on the property causing severe damage to the tree and the other onto a patio causing damage to the tile beneath and breaking a window. -Their generator went out so they decided to plug it into my parents home causing a fuse to blow. They didnt tell anyone. So their outside freezer that was full of meat and other foods was destroyed. - did not use a dumpster and just piled trash up that subsequently blew all over the property. My parents picked that up. -Made use of my parents tools including a large ladder and wheel barrow. The ladder they had loaded up in their truck ready to take off with until my mother came out and stopped them. - Employees took photographs of the property including out door buildings and personal vehicles...why? I've tried the number for Wade and he doesn't answer and you can't leave a message. I called Lowes in Grand Junction as he told my mother he was affiliated with them. While he is on their list of roofers, he isn't affiliated with Lowes. There is no way to contact this person.
