On either December 7th or 8th 2023, I had gone to purchase a vehicle from One with him auto sales, In previous discussions, I was going to purchase a 2000ish Suburban, When I got there I was given a separate vehicle, a 2005 Buick Century, I was in a desperate situation so I said ok being it was my only option, it was noted that it needed a new power steering pump and a repair date was discussed, Later that evening I discovered some other problems with the vehicle, the seat belt would not latch, none of the lighting worked on the instrument panel, most power things also did not work, headlight kept coming loose, I returned the following morning to discuss these problems, was told to bring it back on scheduled repair date, 2 days later.Returned vehicle for agreed repairs, when it was returned to me, the only thing that had been repaired was the power steering pump, none of the more serious problems, over the next 2 weeks until my payment was due, I discovered several other problems with vehicle, something would squeak when you were driving and a different squeak when you were stopping, when stopped at a light , transmission would lock up, the front suspension was so bad you could barely keep the car on the road, this vehicle also had stuff growing out of the carpet, I found a half empty bottle of ******** under the seat, when my payment was due I returned to discuss the issues with the vehicle, and was told that there were no issues, and since I would not make a payment, that was only due that day, he was taking the car, leaving me with no working vehicle and no more money to purchase a working vehicle, I am seeking either a properly working vehicle or my down payment returned so that I can go elsewhere and purchase a working vehicle, he sold me a lemon and refuses to acknowledge it.

******************************* approached me the first of December and stated she would no longer have a place to stay and was needing a vehicle for her and her dogs to both sleep in and be able drive around for income. As she stated she was "desperate" and in tears. I felt for her situation and wanted to try to help her. I stated I had a Suburban that might fit her purposes. But when we went to look at it and I started it up I saw the truck had a bad misfire in the engine and it would not be to her benefit to pursue this vehicle. So I told her I was sorry but I would not be able to assist her.  She came back to the dealership on December 6th and was in tears saying that someone was giving her a camper and she had no way to move it. I offered to help her to move the camper so she would have *************** and her dogs. I made arangements to move the camper to help her out and later that day she said that the last space was taken and she no longer had anywhere to put the camper but she still needed transportation that  she could make income with and her and her dogs could sleep in. I said the only option I had was a Buick Century that was dependable , always starts, heater works, but has very hard steering because the pump is bad. I showed her the vehicle and we drove it on the highway at 65 miles an hour and she agreed that this would work even though she wanted something bigger for her 2 dogs. She purchased the vehicle "AS IS" however I told her I would put a new power steering pump in for her. She came by in a few days to have us install the pump. She said the car was working but it was a little tight sleeping with the dogs. Her first payment came due 3 WEEKS later and she said she did not have the money because she could not drive the car because her headlight was hanging, her drivers seat belt would not latch and her transmission was locking up. I took the car on a test drive at 65mph sown Hwy 85 and the car ran perfect.  I came back to the lot  and she said well it only does it sometimes. I looked at her headlight and saw a clip had come loose and set the clip in place and the headlight was secured. I looked at the drivers seat belt and saw pop residue was sticking on the clip and put wd 40 on it and it locked in place as it was supposed to. I showed *************** all these repairs were done and upon making her first payment as agreed she was ready to go. She stated she had NO MONEY FOR ANY OF THE PAYMENT. because she was not able to drive the car for these last 3 weeks. I said" that is strange because you never called or informed me of any of these "problems" until today when the payment is due as agreed upon in your contract. I fixed your complaints right in front of you. She left saying she was not paying for a unreliable car and wanted her money back. I told her her option was to make the agreed payment and take her car and earn income with it. She walked away. I waited for the proper "cure time" to allow her to redeem her vehicle. She never showed back up, never called and never responded to us. I sold the vehicle to a second time buyer of ours who needed a dependable second vehicle. He loves the vehicle said it gets great gas milage , always starts, keeps him warm in the cold weather and has never once said anything about a transmission lock up. Before he bought the vehicle we had to spend 3 days of wages cleaning the vehicle from "Dog Residue' It was beyond filth. In hind sight I might have to rethink "helping" a customer in this state out. If you look back on another BBB complaint I again was trying to help a homeless customer out. I could not believe I had a complaint against just trying to be ******* to someone in a very bad place.

I am rejecting this response because:

That was the most over the top, ridiculous thing I have ever read.

I have several people who were in the vehicle who attempted to fix the issues that you WERE told about, the day after I got the car. You sold me a vehicle that no one had even looked at, You didn't know what issues it had or how FILTHY it was when I bought it. Again, a bottle of whiskey under the seat! The trunk was full of hay! if anyone had looked at it, you would have found it instead of me. The vehicle was not safe to drive, nor was it legal to drive, Instrument panel lights are required, headlights are required, seatbelts are required.

The suburban you claimed had issues, you sold to someone else instead, I thought a man of god was required to be honest. My pastor is. I gave you $400 of my extremely hard earned money for a vehicle that was SAFE to drive, I did not get that, You never tried to contact me, didn't even respond to messages from me.

Yes, I was homeless, Yes I lived in the car for the time that I had it, Yes you took advantage of someone who was at the lowest point in their life. I am glad someone else loves it, I am sure you had time to FIX THE ISSUES before you sold it again. I am not the first person you have screwed over, I know several people who have had the same kind of issues with your company, ************ groups are fantastic for getting information out about bad companies, I see so many people complaining about you,

My money was for a safe, properly working vehicle, I still need that, so I need my money back.

      Selling a lemon is illegal.

      Regards,

      ***************************

As was stated before in previous response, **************** freely chose the 2005 Buick Century to purchase when it became obvious to her that I decided the ***** Suburban as not going to work because of issues it was having. The Suburban would have better fit her needs for a "home" for her and her dogs but I was not happy with the way it was running and I did not feel comfortable to sell it to her. My judgement was confirmed as we ended up taking it to *****************. The issues with stuck seat belt and headlight on the Century, we fixed in front of her and we took the car on the highway at 65 mph and assured her the vehicle was completely stable. We did not have any issues with the "transmission locking up" as *************** stated. FYI neither has the new customer had any issues with the vehicle. He loves the Century and says it awesome on gas and has taken in on a number of ******** road trips. Unfortunately this could have been great transportation for ************* if she could have made her payment according to the contract she signed. We gave her a legal allotted "cure time" to come and make payment on her purchase but never heard from again until this BBB complaint came up. She is welcome to come back in and fill out an application with her current circumstances. *************** states that she was "taken advantage of" however there are two sides to a coin and it is possible in the kindness of my heart trying to help a woman crying and begging for a vehicle and she could live in and make money door dashing I probably did not make a wise business decision and opened myself up to these false claims that can profoundly affect my business. Our business reviews from ****** are flooded with 5 STAR AFTER 5 STAR and we have those 1 stars that mostly are from angry customers who had their vehicles repossessed because on non payment. With the cure time given for the resale of the vehicle after it was repossessed for nonpayment from *************** I do not believe that I have any current obligation to refund any down payment which *************** forfeited through breaking the contract payment agreement.

On January 6th 2023 my vehicle that is still on loan was picked up by 2 men from One with him Enterprises to be fixed apon a verbal agreement so that I can continue using my vehicle that was on agreement with them through contract. It is now April 18th and my vehicle is still not fixed and has not moved from where they parked it on their lot. A vehicle was backed into mine on their lot and caused damage to mine. I have tried and tried to contact the owner who the verbal agreement was made with and have not gotten any answers nor has he returned my calls or responded to my several voicemails. I would love to be able to hold my end of the verbal agreement and get my vehicle fixed and pay it off but I'm not getting responses at all. I don't see how many of this is ok or even remotely business appropriate. I have pictures and call records to prove I'm being ignored. How do I get this resolved and get my vehicle fixed and returned so I can pay the last remaining balance off and not have to worry about this.

Our customer ******* ***** is paying for 2005 Nissan ********** in monthly payments. The last payment received was the end of October and before that the last payment had been In July. A message was sent that paperwork was being filed for the repossession of the **********. It was sent 12-28-22. we received information that the ********** was not in operation. We were given an address where we could pick up the vehicle for inspection. We towed the vehicle back to our shop at no charge with the communication to our customer that we would try to see if we had an easy fix that would solve the problem. We tried to start vehicle and saw that there was a timing problem but extensive diagnosis was not performed. As customer stated the vehicle sat in holding and was not brought into the shop for a thorough diagnosis. For that I apologize and take responsibility. We did finally get it into the shop and had to give ****** the unfortunate news that the vehicle has skipped time and bent valves and has lost compression in multiple cylinders causing a no start because of no compression. ****** was quoted a repair cost of $2400 FOR A REPLACEMENT ENGINE INCLUDING LABOR. Customer was informed that 1/2 deposit would have to be made before we would begin the repairs.  It is April 28th and One with Him Enterprises, Inc has not yet heard back from Either ****** or *******.Under difficult circumstances of payment default and vehicle breakdown we have tried to provide solutions of keeping customers in their vehicle.
