    We are an elderly retired couple who have done business with ******** Lawn for over 30 years. They maintain our sprinkler system turning it on and off spring and fall. We had an appointment to start up our system for May 22. They came a week early while we were in **********On the 14 th of May I received a phone call asking the location of our equipment. I explained where it was and a couple hours later I called them back to see if they located the equipment and was told yes. A couple weeks later I recieved an invoice which included the start up [$130.00] which I paid and a Misc. charge of $1,020 for backflow preventer. 825Y. No parts nor labor breakdown,We are concerned that no one contacted us about this problem and what possible solutions might be. I checked on Amazon for 825Y backflow valves and they were $400-450. Leaving 2 hours of labor for$ 600.After recieving Invoice I paid the start up fee [$130] and called the company and left a voice message. We have not heard anything from the company, specifically on the actual part cost and actual labor cost that adds up to $1,020 invoice. It feels like we are being overcharged and victims of poor business practice of doing costly repair and NOT contacting us before doing it.
