I had a service done (rear differential oil change) at one of their locations (grease monkey at ************************************) they either forgot to put oil back in or put low oil or wrong oil in. It resulted in me having to purchase a new rear differential. I filed a claim and they immediately denied it even after I sent photos of the damages that show the gears got too hot and the note from the mechanic I had to have work on it. I have tried calling and emailing, but no one will take my calls or answer my emails.

After a detailed investigation, it was determined that there was the correct amount of fluid in the vehicle's rear differential. There for we have denied this claim.

I am rejecting this response because:
When I received the service there was immediate damage to the gears in the rear end. There was no issue with my vehicle until after I got the service done. I didnt make it very far when the rear differential started to screech. You can see in the photos showing ***** marks and discoloration on the gears and bearings from gettingtoo hot. You can't say that nothing is wrong when there is clear damage.
      Sincerely,

In August 2024, I went to Grease Monkey in **********, center #***, for an oil change and tire rotation. After completing an oil and filter change, a staff member informed me they couldnt perform the tire rotation because they didnt have the tools to get the lug nuts off. I agreed to skip the rotation and proceeded with the other *******s.On March 1st, 2025, I brought my vehicle to ********* for a tire rotation. Their technicians informed me that the lug nuts had been stripped, cross-threaded, and in some cases were so damaged they broke during removal. I was told the lug nuts needed to be fully replaced, which cost me approximately $300 out of ********* other ******* involving the tires or lug nuts was performed between the Grease Monkey visit and the ********* inspection. Its clear that the damage occurred during the August ******* at Grease Monkey. When I contacted the location to discuss this, I was told they could offer a discount on a future visit. I found this response dismissive and insufficient considering the cost and inconvenience caused by their poor *******.I am requesting reimbursement for the $300 I paid to replace the damaged lug nuts, as the issue was directly caused by improper ******* during my visit to Grease Monkey in August 2024. I have documentation of the repair and can provide it upon request. I am not seeking anything beyond fair compensation for the costs I incurred due to their negligence.I have receipts for both visits and I have the damaged lug nuts in my possession, if those are neeeded.

I took my car to get an oil change. When I brought my car home, it was leaking oil all over the garage. I took it back in to have it fixed within the week. They said they fixed the issue. A couple of weeks later my engine malfunction light came on. My husband popped the hood and there was oil everywhere. I took my car to the dealership to have it looked at and they said they would not fix it under warranty because the cause of the O2 sensor going out was because it was soaked in oil. My car is only two years old. I have talked to the manager at store #*** and they said they would fix it after many arguments back and forth. They said they would order the part, which they did from ****** and we had an appointment the following Wednesday to have it fixed. My husband called called that Wednesday morning to make sure everything was still set to have my car fixed. They said the part had not come in yet and that the guy who was supposed to fix it was out for personal issues and they were not sure when he would be back. They didn't call us to inform us of this, we luckily called them before bringing it in. We didn't hear anything back from them the next couple of days. I called on Friday to see what the plan was and if the part had come in. They said the part had still not come in and the guy who was supposed to fix it wouldn't be back for the time being. I asked if another location could do the repair. He said he would call over there and see if they could fix it. Again, no follow up communication. I called the other location on Saturday. They had not heard anything of the sort. I called the district manager ***** and he said he would call the store to see what the plan was. I heard from the original guy who was supposed to fix my car that he would get the part and have my car fixed this Wednesday. Again, no communication. I called them today to see if my car would be fixed Wednesday and they said they still did not have the part. I am beyond frustrated with this company

I showed up for a oil change, with no engine light and my truck running fine just needed new oil. Upon arrival there were two mechanics one older and one younger. I go talk to ******* to get a full service oil change. After my oil change I paid and left upon my arrival home as soon as I got in the alley my truck turned itself of while in drive. After putting it in park I turned it back on and got it in my driveway as soon as I parked I started to look up why it would stop. Then when I got out my transmission fluid was leaking heavily so I called grease monkey went right back ******* said to just wait while they inspect it. They said there was no way they did it, it had to be from my line heating up. She further explains that they topped off my transmission fluid which I did not pay for nor ask them to do. Over filling a transmission leads to broken seals as well. But after she told me that I talked to the mechanic he said they never touched my transmission fluid but if you are doing a full inspection and marked it as ok on my report then how didnt you touch or check it. Also my engine light has came on and they have it on the receipt everything was ok no engine light or anything my truck ran perfectly fine until I brought it here. The mechanic broke my truck and the manager ******* was disrespectful and refused to give me his name but his code is 9DLL which is used for all of them even top and bottom inspector so he is the only one who touched it in his paperwork. I want them to pay for the cost of my truck so I can get a new vehicle that is roughly the same since now who knows that problems it could have since the engine light came on. Or just to pay for all the repairs and they refused to take any accountability.

On November 15, 2024, after I paid $29.95 for an oil change at Grease Monkey in ******, **, my Prius began showing warning lights just minutes after I left. I quickly turned around and drove back, but my car shut down in oncoming traffic right in front of the Grease Monkey location. I had to call for assistance to push my vehicle out of the way. The staff who had just worked on my car seemed disinterested in helping and acted as if I wasnt a recent customer. Once they moved my car to safety, the manager, ****** ********, approached me. Despite my insistence that the oil change had caused the breakdown, he dismissed my concerns while examining the vehicle, claiming the issue was unrelated. He never summoned the mechanics who had worked on my car to reassess their work. Since ****** couldn't diagnose the problem, I had to arrange for a tow to a mechanic. After three hours of waiting for the tow, my car was taken to World ******, as Grease Monkey requested that I do so for liability purposes. There, I was told I needed to pay for a new 12V battery before any diagnostics could be performed. Frustrated because I had just replaced the 12V battery and wanted diagnostics run first, I towed the car to Toyotech, where I typically service my vehicle. They discovered dirt in the *** sensor, which was a result of improper installation of the air filter during the oil change. Grease Monkey had removed the filter and reinstalled it upside down, allowing dirt to enter the system and causing the breakdown. The repairs totaled $200, and I am seeking reimbursement for this amount due to Grease Monkey's negligence. I've reached out to corporate working with ******* ******** (a contact ****** gave me) who has not been willing to help and has been actively avoiding me and giving me the run around for months, gas lighting me and being extremely unprofessional. I believe that is what this company does and am extremely upset at the amount of time I've wasted trying to get this resolved.

This guest was issued a refund of $29.99 on 3/14/25. A reimbursement check for $200 was mailed to her on 3/18/25.

While it is not clear that the air filter was installed incorrectly we decided to resolve this complaint with a full refund.

On February 3, 2025 my sife toook her car to the Grease Monkey at the corner of ************** and ***************** in ******. An employee took the car into proceeded to change the oil. He returned saying they could not change the oil since they didn't have the right tool to remove the oil filter. That same day, my wife brought the car home and scheduled an oil change at the ***** dealer on *************. Upon arrival at the dealership the attendent noticed her car was leaking oil. They took the car in for analysis and found the oil filter housing was cracked. The car was repaired the next day for a total of $345.56 including the oil change. After hearing from my wife after the dealership told her the cause of the oil leak, I went out to our garage and saw a pool of oil there and a trail of oil on our driveway, obviously left as she drove off to the dealership. I took the dealership bill to the ************ Automotive HQ in *****************. I have been trying to get paid ever since. I have left numerouse message at the ********* without a reply. I have texted the manager at the Grease Monkey Store who told me that a check was sent on February 10 and I should have it by February 14. No check has been received!

On January 27, 2025 I took my car in for an oil change and wiper blades. The young man cracked my windshield and the company did send a repair man to replace my windshield however; my windshield was tinted and when I asked the supervisor she said get a quote and the company would pay for it. I had 2 quotes and when I took them in her manager (******* ********) stated he wasnt paying for it because its considered a luxury! I explained to him that I paid for that luxury when I purchased my car 5 years ago and the tint is ****** or ****** ******* ******** told me he wasnt going to pay because all his company was liable for was the windshield.

On 12/9, my son got his oil changed on 12/11 the car stopped while he was driving down the street. He was able to make it safely to the side of the road. The car was towed to a repair shop. He was told that he had no oil in my car. He called the grease monkey location where the oil was changed and the regional manager ******* was there. He had the car towed back to the their shop. We were informed that they would repair it and would have it back by 6 PM. The next day we were informed that he needed a new engine. We were told that it would be taking care of and rental that was needed to get to and from work would be reimbursed. When the car was ready to be picked up we was informed that its at another location further away and that it couldnt be towed to the original location. When we arrived to pickup my car we opened the trunk and found a bag of solid mats with grease spilling out the bag and onto my gym bag. I submitted the information for the rental on December 19. Ive sent emails, called, left voicemails with no response. My original request was for the reimbursement for the car rental, now the lack of concern or interest in the possibility of how my sons life could have ended while driving that day.
